| The hotel was old and in poor repair. The carpet in our room was threadbare and showed many stains. The air conditioning didn't cool the room (it was around 95F that day). After patiently closing all the blinds and turning the a/c down significantly, we called the front desk to see if there was anything they could do--they said they were "beyond capacity" and couldn't do anything. I asked for a fan and was told they didn't have any more. I then went in search of ice, only to find that the machine on our floor (20) didn't work. I went up to 21--nothing. Down to 19--about 25 cubes. Down to 18, where I finally found a working ice machine. Note also that you can't just walk up and down the stairs to go between floors--you HAVE to take the elevator--the stairs only open onto the 23rd and 2nd floors. So, add to all this the inconvenience of waiting for an elevator each time. To top it all off, despite having a confirmed King bed, we got there only to be told that they had reserved two rooms for us, both with Queen beds. I then had to call Expedia when we got back from our trip and they, of course, had not double booked us and had no idea what the hotel was talking about. Now, we'll have to monitor our statement to make sure we don't incur two room charges for our one disappointing night's stay.

| The hotel has been renovated over the years and is in wonderful condition. The rooms are in a round tower with great views of the lake or the downtown area. The employees were very friendly and keepimg the guets happy was a top priority.

| My stays at the Pfister have not ever disappointed. The staff is highly professional and alway courteous and helpful. I would like to recommend that the hotel have better ventilation from its top floor bar as the gym is adjacent and has a strong residual odor from the smokers next door.

| This is a stunning hotel with loads of character. The Blu lounge on the 23rd floor was great, but almost no bar food to oder while socializing. There were however whole cashews to munch on instead of peanuts. Nice touch. Bartenders were very pleasant and fun to watch too. Only bad part was room service. Room service delivery was late, extremely expensive and food quality was worst I've ever had. Couldn't eat 1/4 of it, it tasted so foul. Bed was wonderful, room was very comfortable. Consierge was extremely helpful with directions.

| As always, the Hotel Pfister offers old world charm, modern conveniences and an overall ambience of luxury. The staff is helpful, friendly, nd the cafe makes a great cup of cappuccino! The Pfister is my choice of hotel in Milwaukee, close to the Art Museum, expressways, and good restaurants.
