The hotel is connected by covered walkway to a large shopping center, with designer and local brands available. A 4,000-square-foot fitness center offers two indoor tennis courts, a well-equipped gym, sauna, and steam room. Aromatherapy, acupressure and refloxology massage services are also available. An eclectic mix of restaurants and bars includes a typical English-style pub, a small Italian taverna and a highly popular dim sum restaurant. The Noon Day Gun is sounded each day opposite the hotel.

The 4,000-square-foot fitness center was renovated at the end of 2003. It offers weights, computerized fitness testing, and cardiovascular and progressive-resistance areas. Complimentary aerobics sessions are available. Two indoor, air-conditioned tennis courts (surcharge) are connected to the fitness center. The hotel also has saunas and steam rooms.

    Features
What to expect: Splendidly attired Sikh doorstaff welcome guests with a warm smile and firm handshake. Suits, shorts, and airline uniforms set the scene in the small lobby, as international business travelers and leisure travelers mingle with flight crews who make the hotel their base. Gigantic metallic plant holders and swirling, modernistic artworks are set off by more traditional objets d’art that reflect the hotel’s long Hong Kong heritage. Many staff members have been with the hotel for decades.

Amenity highlights: The very English Dickens Bar is a long-time favorite among locals and visitors, as is afternoon tea in the Café and Lounge On The 1st. Fine dim sum is served at the hugely popular Yee Tung Heen; advance booking is recommended. The 24-hour room service includes signature dishes from all five restaurants and bars.

Insider tip: Early risers can join the tai-chi practitioners in Victoria Park around the corner as they go through their graceful exercises.

TOTTS Asian Grill & Bar - Located at the top of the 34-floor hotel, with panoramic views over Victoria Harbour and beyond. Creative cuisine and upbeat, live music most evenings. Lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch.

Café And Lounge On The 1st - Offers all-day dining, with international and Asian fare. The predominantly white color scheme serves as a backdrop for vivid abstract paintings by Australian artist Richard Allen. Lunch and supper buffets are offered, as well as a la carte selections. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner.

Cammino - Small and intimate, with touches of Tuscany in the decor and cuisine, and an impressive list of 100 Italian wines. Lunch and dinner.

Yee Tung Heen Chinese Restaurant – Distinctive, authentic Cantonese cuisine, with an emphasis on seafood and seasonal dishes. Lunch and dinner.

Dickens Bar - A long-time favorite modeled after a typical English pub, with fare to match, plus a daily Indian “tiffin” buffet.

Wonderful view of harbour, if you get the deluxe harbour view rooms,on site restaurants a little bit expensive but local eateries are nearby, so there is no problem if you want cheaper meals. Staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.

Clean and very well located, I checked in late in the early evening but they said my room was not ready and would I wait 45 minutes and have a drink in the bar. I voiced my annoyance, and surprise they found a room for me. That was the only problem I had.
