Features
What to expect: Dating from 1965, this seven-building hotel continues to be a favorite with families and vacationers attracted to spacious and clean rooms, and reliable service.

Amenity highlights: The hotel's buildings are separated by beautifully landscaped courtyards, affording privacy as well as lots of room for families to linger and kids to run around. The main pool area comprises a large main pool, poolside spa, and "Speedy's Sprayground" - a children's pool area with 13 spray fountains. Meanwhile, guests have use of a second large outdoor pool, and kids take advantage of the video game room.

Insider tip: Since the hotel is literally across the street from Disneyland, rooms on upper floors which face the theme park get prime viewing of fireworks displays on Friday and Saturday evenings in the off-season and nightly during the summer.

My husband and I just came back from a 6 day stay at the Howard and we are very pleased. The hotel is clean, the staff is very nice and our seventh floor room had a balcony with an amazing view of anaheim(at no extra cost). There are a lot of buses that are nearby and can take you almost anywhere in California for less than two bucks. The lady at the front desk gave us a bus map and we used it to go to Soak City/Knotts Berry Farm and the Newport beach. There are also a lot of places for eating nearby such as Captain Kidds, McDonalds, Dennys, Ihop, Millies and Mimis among others. They are all in front of Disneyland and next to each other(Eat a big breakfast before entering Disney, the food in there is expensive) BTW-Disneyland is a very short walk away, you cannot miss the place because it is very near. Also, you can see the Disneyland fireworks very clearly from the pool(the one with jaccuzi)every night. Overall, we really had a great time and we definetly recommend this hotel if you want to be comfortable and save money.

Although this hotel was little outdated as far as room apperance, it was a comfortable and affordable stay. The walk to Disney gates is about 5-7 minutes. There is no breakfast offered but there is a McDonalds between the hotel and Disney and just a few steps further is a Dennys. The front desk area offeres free internet use. Overall it was a nice stay.

Hotel was very clean and the employees were all very friendly and helpful. Within a 10 minute walk to Disneyland, California Adventure, I-Hop, McDonalds, Millie's Restaurant and Bakery as well as a few other places to eat. Excellent parking lot if you rent a car. There's 2 pool areas, one with a jucuzzi and kids wading pool with sprinklers. Can see Disney's fireworks from the pool area. Easy area for access to the Highways, or take Ketella and get to K-Mart, Wallgreens, fast foods, groceries, etc. in 5 to 10 minutes. We had an great time and would definitely stay again.

The staff was very pleasant and helpful for directions around the area. Hotel was for a Disneyland experience and moderately priced. The A/C in room was a little noisy, but bearable. Hotel shop was very convenient. I would not hesitate to return or make referrals. A continental breakfast would be a plus.
