This was actually our honeymoon! We were on a budget and this hotel was a good place to stay on a budget. It's a block or so from the nearest metro station and has many good restaurants nearby. Our room was always clean, and comfortable. There wasn't much of a view, but we were out most of the time. The bed was a little hard, otherwise the room was great!

Excellent location for getting anywhere. The hotel is nothing fancy but what made it really work for us was the staff and management. The manager was extremely helpful in working out a rooming difficulty for us, as were the desk people. Very friendly and helpful.

I thought the hotel was fine. The staff was helpful and friendly and the room, though pretty standard for a hotel of its type, was clean and comfortable. Worth more than what you pay for. The neighborhood isn't the best, so I don't necessarily recommend you stay there with kids. Overall, though, a perfectly good hotel experience.

The staff was unhelpful and lazy. They let our rooms to someone else so when we arrived we had to wait in the lobby for half an hour while they cleaned another set of rooms. The whole place smelled like smoke and disinfectant. No views from our room of the city (a deserted lot was what we saw). The air conditioning broke in the middle of the night, waking us up with one of the worst sounds I've ever heard. That being said, the location was quite convenient, the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were cleam, and the price was right. I would stay there again but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone other than college kids looking for a cheep place to crash after hanging in the city all night. It was good enough for the likes of us but certainly not a luxury hotel (not a place to spend tons of time in).

The Quality Hotel Montreal Downtown is in a perfect location. We could walk to Mont Royal, Vieux Montreal and Chinatown and it was just one block from the metro. There are a ton of great restaurants within a block of the hotel and the one in the hotel isn't too bad either. The beds were comfy and parking was secure though not free. It's a great value in an great location. Nothing extravagent, but I'd go back.

When you just need a good, clean room, go for value and not 5 stars. Friendly staff, and only 1/2 the price of the hotel around the corner. Walked to McGill and to St. Catherine street.
