| We recently completed our second stay at this hotel in the past 12 months. Both times we have been happy with the hotel's location and amenities. We would like to report that on this second trip, the hotel staff "went the extra mile" on our behalf. As we were leaving for the airport, a taxi driver offered us a ride, although we had ordered a van to fit our oversized luggage. He had us try to fit golf clubs in his trunk, and the weather stripping was dislodged in the attempt. Our van came and we ended up using it, after paying the taxi driver $20 to cover the damage. Our van driver and/or the bellhop were so upset about the shakedown, they notified management, who called us after our return home and indicated they had recovered the $20 from the taxi driver and would refund it to us. All this without our asking for such assistance.

| We loved Bougainvillea!! Our arrival in Barbados was the most seamless travel experience we've had. Check-in at the resort was a breeze. The employees were quite friendly. Our "deluxe studio" was basically the size of a standard hotel room. The hall leading into the room was the kitchen. The bathroom was definitely roomy although somewhat in need of fresh tile work. We had a kingsize bed...a little hard. The room was VERY clean. Airconditioning worked well and the cable had plenty of options. The best part was our patio! Sliding doors led to a beatiful patio overlooking the pool area and the ocean. At night we could leave the door open and hear the sound of the waves...magnificent. The morning after we arrived there was an orientation meeting where the staff gave us island hints and informed us of the services they have available. They arranged all our dinner reservations. Excellent service. Breakfast was included in our package...this was the one let down. The buffet is horrible. Bougainvillea is located just a little too far to be within walking distance of the Gap. The beach...what can I say? We had so much fun playing in the waves and playing with the boogie boards that the resort provides. We never had a problem getting an umbrella or fresh towels. The sand is soft, the water clear and warm. The waves never seemed dangerous, even for 6 and 7 year olds. The entrance to the sea is sandy, not rocky. It was unbelievably beautiful. We loved Barbados and hope to be back!

| The overall service at the hotel was extremely slow. From the wait staff, to the bar staff, to the front desk. We waited 20 mins for a drink at the pool bar, an hour and a half for lunch - BLT and a burger- order came out wrong, and there was only one other table in the place at the time. Reservations are a must, even though the places are empty and they claim to be so busy. Food is definitely not worth the wait. The deal for happy hour consists of beer or a rum drink- and no frozen drinks. Even the check out process took a lot longer here than it has any other place I have stayed.

| 4 of us got married @ the Bougainvillea Resort. Even though we did not have the resort coordinate the ceremony, the staff there was very helpful and went over and beyond to make sure we had a beautiful ceremony. The staff, the grounds were top rate. Can't wait to book here again.

| The hotel provided two printouts of events occuring the week we stayed (4/18-4/23/2005). They indicated a manager's night with cocktails and a BBQ afterwards. The drinks were free...choice of rum or rum. (An 8oz margarita was $23 barbados, $11 US served in a lovely plastic cup) They failed to indicate you needed reservations for dinner...how nice when it's 7PM and nowhere else to go to eat and you now have to stand in line like an idiot to get take-out for you and your family. The hotel provided little to no information about shuttles (would book a shuttle but forget to mention there is a per-person fee)...another wonderful, embarassing surprise. Seems that everyone on the island is in cahoots to get you to take a taxi...would not provide walking directions to anywhere! Beach area in front of hotels are blocked by rocks allowing only 100-300ft lenghts of walking distances. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!!

| An unacceptable and unpleasant place to stay. Employees, for the most part, unconcerned about comfort of the people paying their wages. Restaurants on grounds just barely satisfactory. Employees of hotel and restaurants not intersted in treating all vacationers with respect even though they are tipped beyond standard rates. They were disrespectful and seemed put out by reasonable rwquests. Problems with water supply to rooms. We were without water two days out of ten. Hide away bed extremely uncomfortable.
