| The hotel has a magnificent location and also the architecture of the hotel makes this a special place to stay. The overall impression is good, however there are a few points that definiately could be improved. First, the maintenance of the room could be better. The toilet was leaking (not substantially though), the soap dish in the shower was broken and the chair in the room was worn out and dirty -what looked like a bloodstain was left on the chair. Secondly, the weather was hot so one would need to open the window, however that became too noisy given the nearby road. Therefore an air-condition added by soundproof windows should be considered installed. Third, and lastly, upon check-out the bill that was presented was severly wrong. I ended up paying half the price that was intitially presented. Such severe errors should not happen at a hotel of this standard.

| We stayed at Hotel Diplomat for 3 nights. Our room was large and very clean; plush down bedding and a recently remodeled bathroom added to our pleasure. We would definitely stay here again!

| Spent the 1st nite in a smaller room in the back of the hotel, looking out into the "courtyard" -- which was really just a lightwell. The room was a bit small & not as well kept up as I would have liked for the price. When I asked, they moved us to a different room, larger & lighter, with a view out over the harbor, in better condition and with a much nicer bathroom. This made the stay *much* more pleasant. Also, there isn't much service here -- just the front desk. No doorman, bellhop, etc. But they are very nice at the front desk.

| This hotel had excellent public spaces in addition to good clean rooms. The one thing it did not have was air conditioning. A couple of nights were pretty hot. Another plus, it had a public computer for the guests to quickly check their email etc without charge. All in all, I will stay here again if I visit Stockholm again.

| A terrific location on the water makes up for the lack of some conveniences. The hotel only has one elevator ("hiss") in the lobby (quite small and slow") so ask for a room on a lower floor if possible because you will be using the stairs often. The hotel business center is one small table with a computer and printer near the reception desk. Waterfront rooms have a small balcony and large door-windows that can be opened to let in the crisp Stockholm air.
