Features
What to expect: Although it’s 2 miles inland, this ridge-top resort affords excellent views of the Pacific Ocean. Corporate travelers and vacationers alike converge on this 12.2-acre property, which offers exceptional amenities for all ages, and is adjacent to both LegoLand® and the Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch. The large, bright lobby separates the hotel portion of the resort from the condo section. Amenity highlights: Adults 17 and older can use the peaceful, Olympic-sized swimming pool with an ocean view. Children and families can use the outdoor pool that features interactive water toys, plus an adjacent game room and activity center. Planned activities include such eclectic offerings as wine and jazz nights, beauty workshops, bubble gum-blowing contests, hula-hoop contests, and ping-pong tournaments. Insider tip: Although the Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch is famous for its dazzling spring displays of ranunculus (a buttercup relative with showy, rose-like blooms) and other flowers, it also shelters an All-American Rose Selection (AARS) garden, only one of 130 AARS accredited public rose gardens in the nation.
Karl Strauss Brewery & Restaurant - This locally popular restaurant, adjacent to the hotel, features award-winning beers and American fare for all meals.

| A wonderful place to spend time with your family. The brewery/restaurant next door has kid friendly food, tasty adult dishes, wonderful beer and is unlike a typical eatery adjoining a hotel. The pool area was comfortable, and staff friendly. Our kids loved the pirate water play zone and playground with slides. I would not suggest staying in in any of the rooms in the 130's though - the ballroom is next door and there were three weddings during our stay - it can get noisy and annoying.

| We were very happy with our stay here. The family pool area is great for the kids, the front office staff is very courteous, and it is within close distance of many restaurants and the beach. The hotel even provides you with a map of the immediate surrounding area, so you know where all the convenience stores, grocery stores, and restaurants are.

| If you are going to Legoland, this place is a total dream come true. You are right across from Legoland, but it is quiet and peaceful. Hotel has an adult AND a kid pool (with water play area). The restaurant right nearby has a reasonably priced breakfast buffet. After this visit, I will not be venturing back to Disneyland until my five-year-old is in his teens. It was incredible for both of us. I highly recommend the hotel/Legoland package.

| I can't imagine a better place to stay if you're going to Legoland. I bought my ticket at a greatly reduced price from the hotel. It's less than a 5 minute walk to the front gate. The hotel and its staff are simply fantastic. Everything is done to please the customer. The grounds are immaculate. The pools were great and the ocean is a 5 minute drive. Easy access to I-5. Angels Stadium is less than an hour away. The hotel shuttle took us over and back to the Coaster Station which we rode to San Diego to see the Padres. A return trip is in the works and the Grand Pacific Palasades will be where we stay.

| This is a great resort for families because it has a mini waterpark and playground and it's centrally located to several CA attractions. It also has a beautiful view overlooking the Carlsbad flower fields and the ocean in the background.

| This was a nice hotel. Perfect for kids and adults. I would recommend getting a 1st floor room, so that the kids can have extra room to go outside. I would also rent a car.
