| We looked for a hotel with an acceptable price and ended up in the Red Lion Inn. The stay comfirmed what we expected. Nothing to write home about but nothing to complain either. It was quiet at night, which is important to me. Cleanliness was still OK, but the hotel has a quiet a few years under der roof, so sometime (soon) they'll have to think about remodeling or... For what it is worth, the setting around a marina is interesting and the rooms have a nice view at the Astoria bridge.

| One of my pet peeves is that the hotel towels must be clean. There were many towels in our room where there were yellow spots on them. Not exactly what you want to see when you want dry yourself. Also, all the rooms have no airconditioning, probably a bad thing during the summer time.

| Staff very friendly & helpful. Hotel very clean. We would like to return in the summer when everything is in full swing. A few restaurants close by, but others are a mile or two down the river walk.

| This is my second time staying at the Red Lion here within the past 2 months and both times I have had a great experience here. The staff is always very friendly and efficient and are always eager to make any recommendations or suggestions to visitors as far as things to do or places to eat and visit. The hotel is older but the rooms are in pretty decent shape, all with private balconies looking out at a marina and the bridge, which is an especially nice scene at sunrise. They also have a continental breakfast with Belgian waffles you make yourself, muffins, cereals, and a few other standard stuff. Nothing too fancy but was acceptable. Astoria is a cool little town to visit and I recommend the Red Lion if you ever find yourself up here.

| The Red Lion is located right next to the famous Astoria-Megler Bridge. The bridge rises WAY above the inn and provides tremendous views of the Columbia River. Red Lion personnel are very friendly, courteous and helpful. Every room has a private balcony overlooking the river. Wake up to the sounds of seagulls and sea lions!

| I was very impressed with the view of the Marina and the Columbia River. The Astoria-Megler Bridge looms right at you a short distance away. In the mornings the fishermen are at their boats in the marina getting ready to go out. The Riverfront Walkway starts very close to the hotel and is a great little scenic jaunt. Overall, a very quiet hotel, even on the weekend. Great place to go if you want to "get away" from the busy city life.

| I was pleasently supprised at the size of our room. We had a standard two bed room and had plenty of space for four adults and a baby that had her own portacrib. The addition of refridgerator and microwave in the room made it easy to store and prepare baby food. The beds were the most comfortable beds I have ever been in in a hotel.
