For the price I paid to stay at this hotel, I was very disappointed. The room was average. The bed was very uncomfortable. I must be spoiled from staying at resort hotels in other states or something because this Hotel's resort price was not very resort worthy. The pool was even pretty small. I would not recommend this hotel because I believe it is over priced.

This was a great place to stay with an unbelievable location. It is set outside of the Phoenix area with easy access to Phoenix, Carefree, Cave Creek and Scotsdale. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a bit of adventure. .

Great location, first trip to Scottsdale and we lucked out picking this hotel. We look forward to coming back and staying only here in the future. Service top notch, could not believe it was so reasonably priced, staff was one of the most friendly we've come across, all in all a great experience. Thank you.

This is by far the nicest Marriott I've ever been to. I've avoided staying at most Marriotts in the past due to poor service, but this far exceeded my expectations in both service and quality. We will definitely be returning to the Marriott McDowell Mountains.

My friend and I went to Scottsdale for a Mother's Day treat filled with shopping, sunbathing, reading, and resting. Everyone at the hotel was extremely friendly. While it does not equal the 5-star Hyatt in Scottsdale, it was a "four star" stay for us! Loved how I could read in the attached "living room" and my friend could nap or watch TV in the bedroom! We could also get poolside drink service. Recommended!
