I was first assigned a Handicap room. Shower was not usable. Receipt had me in different living location. People at front desk were not very friendly or helpful. Many of them ignored me when I went up with a question. Very pretty interior, lobby, pool, resturants, rooms. But the people very questionalbe!

My first (and hopefully there will be more) visit(s) to California was great. The hotel is just beautiful; the fresh apples upon checkin were a very nice touch for a late night, healthy snack after a very long redeye flight in from the East Coast. Thoroughly enjoyed the Crabtree & Evelyn complimentary toiletries in the bath. The staff was most helpful and thoughtful, and the room was spacious and tastefully decorated. I especially liked the extra bed pillows, real coffee cups and glasses in the room. Thank you for the most pleasant (quick) business trip.

Great Stay But The Elevators Were A Headache

The service and rooms met all our expectations. The only nuisance was the constant loitering in the elevators by (what appeared to be) high school students. They simply sat on the elevator floor and went up and down. The students were not rude (actually laughing, giggling and greeting the hotel guest) but 4 to 6 people sitting on the floor consumed much of the room. Therefore, at times, our family had to wait for a 2nd elevator. Again, with the exception of the elevator loitering, the stay was great.

The location is great, right off the 405 & 55 freeways. It's just down the street from South Coast Plaza. The beach is 15 minutes away and Fashion Island is about 20 minutes away. The hotel itself is very nice and clean. The lobby is bright and cheery. The rooms are nice size, we had 2 adults and 2 teenagers and we had ample room. The pool is very nice and large. The gym is small but has a sampling of the basic equipment. The spa offers massages which seemed very reasonable as well as other amenities. I would stay at this property again.
