Features
What to expect: These comfortable condominium units attract families and couples seeking tranquility and home-away-from-home convenience while enjoying easy access to all of Waikiki's attractions. Amenity highlights: These are Waikiki's only beachfront condominiums—and the views make it worthwhile. Most balconies provide views of the ocean, and are spacious enough to accommodate a table and some chairs for eating, lounging, or sunset-watching. Insider tip: Fort DeRussy Park is an Army-fort-turned-park adjacent to the condominiums. The beautiful grounds provide a grassy, shady spot for picnics and play, with access to the beach and the U.S. Army Museum.
Nearby restaurants: Ocean House - Refurbished in 2002, this oceanfront, dinner-only restaurant resembles a gracious plantation house. The interior is all wood, painted gray and white, and furniture is dark wood. The menu features Hawaiian-accented food and includes prime rib slow-roasted in Hawaiian salt. Shorebird Beach Restaurant & Beach Bar - Situated along the beach and offering a view of Diamond Head, this open-air place serves a bountiful buffet breakfast, lunch, and "broil your own" choices at dinner. The bar jumps at night with live entertainment. Chief's Hut - Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in this open-air restaurant near the gentle burbling of the hotel's large water garden. Aloha Lobby Lounge - This is where people gather in the evenings for a tropical drink and Hawaiian entertainment.

| What a find - the only condo at the Ft. DeRussy end of Waikiki Beach, just a step off the back lobby area. All balconies are on the "unobstructed" side of the building with views toward Magic Island and beyond. Higher lanai units are perfect vantage point for July 4th fireworks and weekly firework display at a hotel nearby. Units are a little dated but quiet and comfortable. Good security, lots of nearby restaurants & shops, including Starbucks next door, parking right outside main lobby or below only $12, FREE 3-hr. guest parking too! Easy access to main thoroughfares. Rates might be considered a little high, but having a kitchenette in our studio (full kitchen in bigger units) was very handy. We hope to plan future family visits here and stay in a larger unit next time. Expedia rate was comparable to local-resident "kamaaina" rate.

| Location, location, location. It's the same concept no matter whether you're looking for a Hotel or real estate. Waikiki Shores appeared to have been recently facelifted and is wonderfully situated right on Waikiki Beach, alongside beautiful Fort de Russy Park offering patrons extra quiet and privacy and some very nice shaded public areas to walk around during the heat of the day... without having to fight traffic.

| I loved the view. This is a condominium though, so don't expect a restaurant or bar within the hotel. However, there are many restaruants and other hotels within easy walking distance. There is construction going on in the area right now, but it didn't spoil the view because it's on the back side of all the condominium units where there are no windows.

| Very nice 1 bedroom with beautiful view of Wakiki. Large bathroom, nice kitchen area, and plenty of closet space. It has a convenient location, close to shopping, restaurants, and tour reservations can be made at the hotel. Only thing missing is a pool if you are interested in that, but hotel is right on the beach.

| The unit we had was on the 11th fl of the 13 storied building, facing the ocean, and it just had a fantastick view of the ocean. The property is next to Army Museum and it was quiet, although it was in the middle of Waikiki. There was no swimming pool but the ocean was so calm and we didn't need a pool, although a hot tub would have been nice. The kitchen was also nice for a family with teen-agers. The next-door neighbors were a bit noisy but it was the Best Location in Honolulu and Great Value.
