Recreation
The hotel has a heated pool, spa tub, and fitness center (surcharge) offering cardio and weight equipment. Heavenly Sports, located on the lobby level, rents, services, and sells seasonal sporting equipment and gear. During the summer months, the hotel runs lake tours aboard William Harrah's legendary 54-foot, 36-passenger yacht, the Tahoe Star. Mountain biking, hiking, and boating are popular in the summer months, and top-rated Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course is less than a half-mile away. Lake Tahoe is home to the largest concentration of ski resorts in North America, and the gondola lift at Heavenly is just 2 blocks from the hotel. Sleigh rides and ice skating are within 2 blocks as well, and several outfitters offer area snowmobile tours. The recreational activities listed below are available either on-site or near the hotel; fees may apply.

Features
What to expect: Big: That's the statement Harveys makes from the moment guests enter its sprawling lobby, with its three-story black granite obelisk fountain, bank of registration and concierge desks, and long escalators. This is the crossroads of gamblers, celebrating couples, wedding parties, families on vacation, day-trippers, and business travelers in search of some R&R. Amenity highlights: Harveys has a heated pool and spa tub with poolside bar service; a fitness center with cardio and weight equipment (surcharge), and a Kids' Camp program of supervised activities for children age 6–13. Nighttime entertainment options include the hotel's comedy club and adult cabaret. Harveys is connected to Harrah's, its partner property across the street, via a street-level, carpeted passageway providing weatherproof and traffic-free access to shops, restaurants, bars, a health spa, nightclub, and casino.
Llewellyn's - Continental-style restaurant on 19th floor; sweeping lake and mountain views. Menu includes wild boar tenderloin and roasted garlic lobster tails. Open Tuesday through Sunday for dinner; midday on Sunday for champagne brunch. Reservations recommended. Coco Havana - Harveys' newest lounge. Caribbean-themed bar shares Llewellyn's fantastic views. Drinks and appetizers served Tuesday through Saturday. Sage Room Steak House - Western-themed restaurant with original artwork by Charles M. Russell and Frederic Remington. Classic-style menu includes Beef Wellington and Chateaubriand. Reputed for tableside service; well-stocked wine cellar. Open nightly. Reservations recommended.
Hard Rock Cafe - Tahoe's version of the Hard Rock Cafe features the chain restaurant's signature rock 'n' roll theme and memorabilia collection in a rustic setting, with timber beams and stone fireplace. Clips of classic concerts play on numerous TVs. The menu includes burgers, ribs, steaks, and salads. Open daily for lunch and dinner. Pacifica Seafood Buffet - Fisherman's Wharf, Baja Taqueria, and Pan Asian are some of the seafood stations at this buffet-style restaurant. A water fountain wall, blue tiling, and clever porthole placement play upon the upscale nautical theme. Open Thursday through Monday, for dinner only. El Vaquero - Dark wood, wrought iron, and Southwestern artwork distinguish this cantina. Menu includes Mexican specialties such as Churrasco Steak—a mesquite-grilled rib eye with chimichurri sauce. Open for dinner only, Wednesday through Sunday. Carriage House - The menu at this 24-hour coffee shop includes such comfort foods as freshly baked cinnamon rolls, chicken pot pie, gyro chicken sandwiches, and broiled New York steak. Harveys Cabaret - This 250-seat nightclub stages two shows. The Improv features two new comedians every week (dark Mondays); and a Vegas-style, late-night adult review (dark Tuesdays). Cocktails served.

| My new husband and I went to Tahoe on our honeymoon for 4 days staying at Harveys. We had the best time we could have asked for. Lot's of options for meals within the hotel. Checked out a comedy show that was really raw, but funny. Spent an hour at the pool every day. Great place. There is a smell of smoke every where you go, but we are just not used to that! Staff was very helpful at all hours of the day! We would suggest this place to other couples!

| What a great hotel to stay in Lake Tahoe. Wonderful room service and very clean. We loved being in the center of entertainment while also being able to go to our quiet room when we wanted. We will definately be back with our kids!

| We were very impressed by the hotel and the service. The employees were great--from the bellmen to the housekeeping people. It was near other key points of interest at Lake Tahoe and was a stone's throw from nearly everything on the South Shore. My daughter loved the pool and the arcade. I found the costs of the arcade to be high (like arcades in other hotels in the area) and the prizes nearly worthless for the money spent. The other negative was the strong cigarette odor throughout the hotel and casino area. Other than these few criticisms, I found it to be an excellent stay with my family.

| Great room with modern decor, clean, quiet, and a good view of mountains with a partial lake view (which was more than I expected for the price). Pleasant, friendly staff. A great place to stay.

| Harvey's was the first casino hotel I've ever been to that did not force me thru the clacking and neon blinking to get to my room or to check in. I don't like casinos so Harvey's at Lake Tahoe was the one for me! And had a wonderful view of the lake.
