| It looks nice from the outside, but it's not really a romantic place, but if you have small kids- or kids who love the beach it's an ok family place. It's in a nice location, and you can walk to many restaurants, as well as the beach. The breakfast consisted of small cellophane-wrapped type pastries (the kind you might find at 7-11), bagles, cream cheese, cereal... You have to go to a little counter, and ask for each item. The pool was small and unheated, and the rooms are a little dated, but the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms are not really updated, but were clean.

| We were extremely pleased and impressed with this hotel. The grounds are beautiful....lush greenery and colorful flowers all around. The breakfast room and open deck both face the ocean and afford terrific views...we even had a partial ocean view from our balcony. Free covered parking is a plus and the hotel is situated a few short steps from the beach and within a short walk to many restaurants and stores. We can't wait to go back!

| - Easy access to I-5, just a few blocks. 5 minutes to Legoland, 30 minutes to San Diego Zoo. - Beach is just across the street. Ocean view in breakfast room. We changed in hotel room and walked to the beach. - Room is spacious. We had a room with two double beds. I would give a 5 to "Comport" category if they put two Queen beds. - Free in-room high-speed internet.

| This hotel is getting pretty warn, needs major upgrading and right now nothing is being done. My daughter got married here and the location was great but all the service was average. We did not have any hot water after our second night stay and all they would say is "you can use the marina shower".

| We thoroughly enjyed the Best Western Beach View. Right across the street from the beach and convenient to walk everywhere downtown Carlsbad. Great hotel!

| We visited the San Diego area for a quick 4 day stay with three adults and three children in two rooms. This hotel is convenient to the places we wanted to go - Legoland and Sea World. On our last day the kids got to play on a beautiful beach which is right across the street from the hotel. The morning breakfast which was included in the price of the room was just right, the parking was free and covered, and everyone on the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. We loved it here and will be back.

| We loved this hotel! The staff went out of their way to help us with our odd-ball requests. The room was huge and had a great balcony. We were across the street from the beach so we didn't have to worry about parking, and we walked to fantastic restaurants each night. The pool was large and clean, the jacuzzi was clean and pretty. The continental breakfast is sparse, but the cool breakfast guy and the incredible view make up for it. I plan to go back to this hotel. Skip the big name hotels south of here and book this one.

| This couldn't be in a better location--directly across the street from the beach. The rooms are big and clean and the staff is very courteous. We would return any time and will recommend it to our friends.
