| This hotel has a long way to go in order to improve its customer experiece. From initial check-in, it took 6-7 minutes just to do the usual rudimentaries of check-in. One then has the calamity of the hotel elevator system. One must use your key card to operate the elevator. However, the key cards do not work properly, which means that when one open the doors, there are usually people already inside trying to operate the system. On average, it took me 5 minutes to reach my room or lobby, invariably as Hotel employee had been deployed inside the elevator. I had to change rooms as the toilet over-flowed, I suppose however that this can be a once-off unfortunate incident. In general, if you ar elooking for standard service and comfort, this is not a hotel you should stay in.

| The hotel is nice and the location is also good. However, my room was at the backside and next to the elevator which was very noisy! If you don't mind some noise, the hotel is fine for you.

| I was very surprised to find out that this hotel was rated as a 3 star. The rooms were tiny, the air conditioning didn't work and it was nothing more than basic service for a high price. I would have much rather stayed a bit outside of Vancouver where I would have had easier access to activities. Just an additional note, you find out that you have to pay for parking once you get there. In my opinion, you're paying enough and shouldn't have to pay for parking on top of everything else.

| Sandman was just OK. Location - Downtown - is great and they offer secured (a big deal in Vancouver) parking for $10/night. We asked for a non-smoking room but got one that smelled of smoke (leaving the window open for a few hrs helped a lot). The bed was very uncomfortable; probably the worst thing about the room. Again - nothing special to remember this hotel by. Just the location!

| This hotel was nothing special. If you are looking for a clean room next to the sports complex, or wouldn't mind a 10 minute walk to get to the heart of Robson Street, this hotel should be considered. There are no doubt better places to stay.

| Despite the positive reviews that I read on expedia I found the rooms in this hotel to be very small and cramped. Also the opening in the wall to accomodate the A/C unit in my first room brought in a lot of noise from street level. I changed my room in order to get rid of the noise from the street below and ended up behind the boiler room. Then I requested another room change after a sleepless night next to the boiler. The 3rd room was better in terms of noise , except the ice machine outside the door was pretty loud when the compressor started, but I decided I would not want to change the room for a 4th time or I might end up with yet another noisy room. I would not recommend this hotel.

| Excellent location near Football and Hockey. Walking distance to many restraunts, entertainment. Slowest elevators I have seen. Large backups when groups checkin or checkout. I had 6th floor room and it was easier to walk down the stairs rather than wait. All in all, a nice place

| The room was small but the price was right. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Hotel was within walking distance of Gas Town, China Town, shops along Robson St. and the big "Bay" store on Georgia St. Avoid Moxie's Restaurant. Rosie's on Robson, about two blocks away offered better selection, quality and prices. I look forward to staying here again.

| The location had easy access to everything. The staff were helpful. The restaurant on site served good and reasonably priced food until late. The only downside was the room was on the small side, which was OK for me as I was traveling alone for business, but if I was with my husband it would have been a squeeze. Bed would have been fine for two but only one person at a time could navigate around the bed.
