Features
What to expect: Old-fashioned service complements an avant-garde look in this newly renovated twin-tower hotel (20 and 23 floors). The decor ranges from jeweled phones and hand-blown glass light fixtures to apple-green carpets and pink bathrooms. A favorite with longer-term visitors to Vancouver—especially in the movie industry—the hotel is also popular with families, thanks to the laid-back attitude and 55-foot pool. Amenity highlights: In the atrium health club/pool complex, there's a range of activities—from lazing in a spa to shooting hoops on the patio. Guests also are invited to borrow a book from the lobby's library or meet other travelers at a daily reception featuring local wines in Art + Soul, the in-house art gallery. Zin, the hotel's restaurant and lounge, is a favored spot for movie-industry "wrap parties." The concierge specializes in Vancouver for families. Insider tip: Barclay Heritage Square, located 3 blocks from the hotel, is the site of nine historic homes built between 1890 and 1908. It's a good place to see what the West End of Vancouver looked like before the skyscrapers came to town. Centerpiece is the Roedde House Museum, housed in a Queen Anne Revival-style mansion. Guided tours are available.
Zin - Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served daily in this stylish but casual restaurant with retro furnishings, enlarged art photos, orange mood lighting, and gauze curtains used to create separate spaces. Tapas dominate the dinner menu. Specialties include lamb with chestnut empanada, and prawns served with coconut potato mash and tamarind jalapeno sauce. Breakfast and lunch can be traditional—bacon, eggs, and burgers—or not.

| 3rd floor hallway really needs some carpet and paint - didn't see any other floors. First impression when seeing that we were scared to go in the room - luckily the room was in better condition.

| My wife and I were more than satisfied with our stay at the Pacific Palisades hotel in downtown Vancouver. We were on our honeymoon, and we couldn't have asked for a better setup. The staff were eager to help out in any way possible, and every request was met with enthusiasm. We felt like we received the royal treatment... all of our expectations were exceeded. I highly recommend this hotel for any leisure trip. We only stayed for 4 nights, but we could have stayed longer. Our suite was clean and spacious, and the housekeeping staff kept it looking great every day. The Zin restaurant is great for casual dinig, late night drinks, and even an excellent room-service breakfast! They also offer free wine tastings every day from 5:00-6:00. The location of the hotel is prime. We only had to take a bus on one day, everywhere else we went was within walking distance. You could spend days just walking down Robson Street with all the shopping and dining.

| When we checked in, we were given the wrong room with many luggage. It locates on Robson Street, so it is convenient for dining and shopping. I do not think the hotel dserves three stars. There are a few issues at the hotel, but I disclose to open the problems at this time.

| Travelled a lot for business and pleasure. This hotel was more like an average 3* than the 4* it was billed as and priced at. Location was great, but service was poor, the elevators were shocking and the room was so-so. Breakfast in the restaurant was actually pretty good. The bell staff were mostly very helpful (storing my road bike, etc), but let the side down by leaving us standing waiting for ages when departing. Visiting Vancouver again in the summer and planning on checking out different hotels.

| We stayed here for 12 nights in April and it was perfect. The location is ideal. A short walk gets you downtown in one direction or Stanley Park in the other. Although ideally situated we found the hotel quiet and relaxed. The standard of service was excellent.

| We visited from Seattle for a short trip with family. We were a little unsure due to other reviews. But our stay was fantastic. The staff were awesome, always polite and extremely helpful. The location was great - we has not stayed in Vancouver before and this worked great for day trips north and for finding food in town. Plus window shopping is fun on Robson Street. They take dogs - which is one reason we picked it - think she may have been treated better than us. Will definately return on our next stay in Vancouver.

| An absolute pleasure to stay at within a city full of the most polite people (except within motor vehicles lol) that I have ever visited! The general casual ambience of the Pacific Palisades would make anyone feel comfortable, since it isn't stuffy and over decorated. Quite tasteful in decor, comfortable beds, and wonderful people! What more could you ask for when away from home!? And the Starbucks across the street...yes I'm from Seattle. lol

| By Vancouver standards it is a nice hotel. Most hotels are small and old but this one is a little more modersn and spacious. The location is terrific. It is surrounded by dramatic views of downtown buildings. I would give it 3.5 stars instead of 4 stars. The room reminded me of a bad mid 90's remodel. It was still a nice room but needeed an update. The bed needed to be revamped (updated matress). The sites of the surrounding area made the trip enjoyable. I would stay at this hotel again or maybe even spend a couple of extra bucks and get a better hotel for reasons of a better matress.

| Affordable stay in downtown Vancouver, BC. Stayed there because it was right on Robson for easy access to shopping, dining, and attractions. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would not recommend if you can afford to stay elsewhere, the beds are uncomfortable, can be noisy, and the rooms are a little run down.
