Recreation
Le Sea Club, the fitness center, opens daily from 6.30 AM to 10.30 PM and offers an indoor swimming pool, two seawater pools, saunas, gym, aqua-gym lessons, and a private beach with complimentary recliners, towels, and parasols (the only one in principality)—all of which are free for hotel guests. Private beach cabins can also be rented. Water sports including jet skiing, motor boating, sailing and water skiing are available during the summer. There are three swimming pools: one indoor pool within a glass-walled conservatory and two outdoor saltwater pools situated within a Mediterranean garden. Features
What to expect: This hotel completed its “Cristal Concept Project” in 2005, featuring two glass towers added to the east and west of the main building; new lobby, L’intempo restaurant and bar, plus 66 new guestrooms with views of the Mediterranean. A property that draws conference and holiday travelers, this hotel is more modern than historic, as few traces of the hotel’s original 1920s architecture remain. In the lobby, contemporary decor complements white-marble floors, a large blue crystal sculpture, and curved glass walls with impressive ocean views. Amenity highlights: Wooden steps lead through flower-covered pergolas to a private beach where guests are provided with complimentary recliners, towels, and parasols. Water sports including jet skiing, motor boating, sailing, and water skiing are available during the summer. There are also three swimming pools: one indoor pool within a glass-walled conservatory and two outdoor saltwater pools situated within a Mediterranean garden. This is the only hotel of the Principality to own a private beach, three swimming pools, and "Le Sea Club" conference center. "Le roof top" is the executive floor of the hotel and offers upscale service. Insider tip: During the summer, when the route to the airport is often congested with traffic, an alternative way of traveling to the airport is by helicopter. The helipad is 2 kilometers (1.5 miles) away from the hotel. It offers a ten-minute transfer to the airport avoiding the traffic and taking in an aerial view of the coastline.
Le Carré - Large bay windows offer sea views; mauve and yellow furnishings. Fourth-floor restaurant open every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Dinner buffet themed around Mediterranean destinations and includes pot au feu, couscous, pasta, kefta, and paëlla. L'intempo - Restaurant facing private beach of hotel. Accommodates 220 guests. Only restaurant in Principality open 24-hours, seven days a week. Features four separate designs within the restaurant; show kitchen/cooking area. Mediterranean dishes served. Le Bar & Lunch - Open during summer months. Grilled fish and meat served.
Lobby - From lunchtime until late evening, the lobby serves drinks and light snacks such as foie gras salad, prawn fritters, and hamburgers. A wide selection of classic and non-alcoholic cocktails is served.

| When we arrived, we were told the hotel parking garage was full. Once we found a parking spot on the street, we checked in, but the room provided was not a SEA VIEW room, which we had reserved. When we complained, they stated they had no SEA view rooms available and made no offer of compensation. The next night, we were moved to a sea view room and the remainder of the stay was fine.

| The hotel staff was great. Get a sea view room if you go. Food and beverages are very expensive. The pool is saltwater. I recommed spending as much time as you can at the pool or on the beach.

| The Meridien is up to the usual standard expected of hotels bearing the name. It is the only hotel in Monte Carlo to have it's own private beach (including activities also). The rooms and public areas are all well decorated and very clean. The only drawback is that it's a bit of a hike from the main Port + Casino area - approximately 15mins on foot.

| We had a short stay in Monte Carlo prior to moving inland for business. The hotel staff was curtious upon arrival, and continued to be throughout our stay. As Americans, we appreciated the exceptional English spoken by each Hotel employee, which appears to be somewhat common amongst the Monte Carlo Hotels. The rooms were very clean as was the entire Hotel. The hotel is within walking distance of most attractions, but has a private beach, which is somewhat rare in Monte Carlo.
