Marriott Newport Amenities
This seven-story hotel is set in a prime location across from Newport Harbor. Within a five-minute walk are the Brick Market, Bowen’s Wharf, and Bannister’s Wharf. At all three, 18th-century commercial buildings along the waterfront now house shops and cafés. Ocean beaches and the palatial mansions of the Gilded Age are about two miles away. Decked out in ocean-blue tones, the hotel’s nautical-style lobby and atrium display models of yachts and other ships. Fathoms, the on-site restaurant, serves up fresh seafood and great harbor views. And the bi-level fitness center includes an indoor pool plus an outside sundeck with city views, spa tub, and racquetball courts. High-speed Internet access is available in the 24-hour business center; wireless Internet access is available in the lobby (surcharge for both).

Recreation
The hotel’s dual-level Fitness Spa is open from early morning until late evening. An upper level houses the fitness center, which features a wide array of cardiovascular and strength-training equipment (circuit, treadmills, steppers, elliptical machines, bikes, and weights). The lower level offers a heated indoor pool, sundeck, spa tub, and sauna along with a private massage room, racquetball courts, and men’s and women’s locker rooms. Ocean beaches, including First Beach (also known as Easton’s Beach), are two miles away. The Newport Harbor Walk, right outside the hotel, showcases Colonial and Victorian homes as well as the lively, yacht-filled harbor. Other popular walking trails in the area include Cliff Walk, a trail with spectacular views of the ocean and mansions, and the Norman Bird Sanctuary, a 300-acre wildlife refuge with more than seven miles of hiking trails. Bicyclists head to Ten Mile Drive, which has views of beaches and Gilded Age mansions. Boat charters are available along the wharves. The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.

| The Newport Marriott is central to shops and dinning as well as next to the marina. What it lacks in New England charm it makes up for in the comfort and convenience you would expect from a Marriott...
