| The Fairmont Algonquin is in need of updating, especially if your room is in the older building. The paint was peeling in our room and the bathroom fixtures were old. We didn't see a room in the new section, but it looks very nice. Be careful when you book - our room did not have air conditioning. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful.

| The Fairmont chain of properties maintains a certain level of excellence in all of their properties. The Algonquin is no exception to this rule, a world class golf course, fine dining spacious rooms and a class above all others.
