Features
What to expect: Pink and white from buildings to Jeeps to table linens and towels, Las Brisas has been widely copied since it opened in 1957 as a tranquil, adults-only, prestigious retreat. Celebrities still come occasionally, along with couples seeking romance and privacy, but now the resort accepts children—although certain guest-accommodation sections are still reserved for adults. Amenity highlights: Operating every 20 minutes, shuttles transport guests between the hillside resort and its private beach club on Acapulco Bay, a five-minute trip. The club includes no sand but features two expansive rock- and fieldstone-lined saltwater pools narrowly open to the bay, so they're continuously refreshed. Terraced above them is a large, freeform freshwater pool. Pools' sundecks feature palm trees, cushioned lounge chairs, umbrellas, and shade tents. Insider tip: For a surcharge, the resort offers a weekly Jeep safari, a five-hour tour that includes a stop at a freshwater lagoon, a bird-watching boat trip around the lagoon, canoe races, buffet lunch, and live music.
Each morning, guests receive a complimentary Continental breakfast, which is quietly slipped into a two-door "magic box" near casitas' doors, to be retrieved from inside when guests desire. Bellavista - Air-conditioned hilltop restaurant and bar offering panoramic view of ocean, Acapulco Bay, Sierra Madre Mountains. Glass-wall section and flower-fringed open-air terrace. Ŕ la carte Mexican/American breakfast. Ŕ la carte dinner. Pianist at night. Dinner dress code: long pants, collared shirts, closed-toe shoes (no sneakers) for men. Starters such as Caviar, Smoked Salmon, Escargot, Duck-Liver Pâté, Scallops-and-Lobsters with Peanut-Ginger Vinaigrette, Thai Shrimp, and Duck Confit-Goat Cheese Ravioli. Main courses such as Shrimp Linguine, Gruyere-Crusted Sea Bass, Mahi Mahi in Garlic-Soy Sauce, Stuffed Lobster, Foie-Gras-Stuffed Quail, Seed-Crusted Lamb Chops, Ginger-Roasted Duck.

Choices include ceviche, tacos, lobster-and-crab salad, shrimp broth, lobster, shrimp, fish, paella, pasta, and pizza. La Concha Bar - Poolside, open-air spot serving burgers, sandwiches, snack foods, tropical drinks. Deli-Shop - Sandwiches, salads, pastries, wine, beverages to go. | Probably the most romantic getaway location in the Americas! My wife and I returned to Las Brisas two weeks ago, four years after our first stay. We had been building our own expectations up to what I considered unreasonably high levels. However, the reception was magnificent, the room immaculate, the private pool adorned with flowers, the service attentively friendly and magnificently individual. Everything as we had left it. I highly recommend it as a couples romantic getaway.

| My husband and I stayed four nights and were treated like royalty. The service was superb, the accomodations were great (could have used a softer matress) and the view from our private pool was fantastic. We also enjoyed our scrumptous dinners at the Bellevista Restaurant located at the resort overlooking the Acapulco Bay. A special treat was the continental breakfast delivered to our room each morning and sitting out on our private patio enjoying the morning view.

| If you go during the low season (Summer), no need to book a casita with private pool. the shared pool will be your own. Book a room in the high numbers (300 and up) so you will enjoy a better view and even more privacy. Tips are included so service is excellent; even though they are not allowed to accept tips, waitresses, housekeepers will accept a discreat extra and will surprise you with extra attention.

| The staff was great. The service was excellent. Since the rooms are located in the midst of nature's greenery, I would recommend you bring insect repellant and bug spray to deal with mosquitos and creepy crawlers. Otherwise, fantastic. We picked up insect repellant candles from Walmart and burn them on the patio to ward off mosquitos. We sprayed the room with insect repellant and it took care of the problem. I would definitely stay there again.

| Based on reviews and recommendations posted here, we booked a Brisas Beach Club casita from 21 to 24 July. We were tickled PINK! Our little house (#401) had two terraces with fantastic views over the entire bay, swimming pool, plenty of deck furniture and most importantly ... very private. We were surrounded by lush greenery and trees. Admittedly these attracted a lot of insects which could be bothersome at times but they fed all the beautiful birds that flew around. We even had two cheeky squirrels visiting us every day, especially at breakfast time! The room itself was spacious, bright and airy, well furnished and the huge comfortable bed faced the terrace doors so we could see Acapulco Bay even while lying down! All the windows were gauzed so we never used the AC, the ceiling fan and the gentle sea breeze flowing through was enough. Room and bathroom amenities were adequate and supplies plentiful. We rarely left our little corner of paradise and ordered room service for all our meals except one! The food was delicious, quickly delivered in a pink jeep even in the pouring rain, well presented and the table of choice (in room, top terrace or lower terrace?) set out with crisp linens and fresh flowers. Las Brisas is one of a kind, even though a little dated and rough around the edges, we would go back tomorrow if we could!

| My husband and I stayed for a week at Las Brisas and we remained impressed for our entire stay. At check-in, we were told "welcome home" and were given icy drinks and cold towels. We didn't want to leave! Service was excellent, from the bellmen to the jeep drivers, room service, and housekeeping. Even checking our email at the business center was a breeze. We know a bit of Spanish, which helped us in town, but at the hotel almost everyone speaks English. I would definitely recommend purchasing the travel vouchers for transportation to and from the hotel. This made life so much simpler. (I wish I had done that for our Cancun trip last year! Those airport guys are a bit frightening). Also, definitely go to meet your Expedia representative at the hotel shortly after you arrive. This meeting provided massive amounts of information and helped us plan our week. At first I was afraid it was one of those time-share scams, but Las Brisas doesn't allow time-share people on its property. The Expedia service staff was a truly valuable resource during our trip.

| The service of the staff was excellent. From the minute you arrive until the day you leave they are ready to assist you with your needs. They have this wonderful ammenity called "the magic box" located next to your door. There you will find a carafe of coffee, fresh fruit and pastries placed there daily. The view from the rooms can't be beat. The only drawback is the minibar; the alcohol is seriously hyper-inflated save your money and hit the local Wal-mart.

| Las Brisas was a wonderful hotel. The service was excellent. We loved that they cleaned our room twice a day. They were prompt, courteous and professional. We also loved having our own pool. The food was great, the drinks were just right and the scenery was unbelievable. A definite recommendation.
