| The place is a typical Best Western. It is supposed to be 3 stars and it is about average, not special. The beach is on an inlet and not on Clearwater Beach directly. This disappointed me. My room faced the parking lot. There was street noise late at night. The rooms have refrigerators and microwaves so that's a plus. I guess I just expected more.

| Room Service was quick & good. Room was comfortable. Employees friendly & helpful. Beach and pool were both nice & clean & well-kept. Nicely located for easy access to the area. Elevators were scary even just going to the 2nd floor. Parking was not good. Food wasn't good here but was nearby to great food.

| Our stay was pleasant. The beach was smaller than expected and very calm. We went to a public beach so our kids could play in waves. Staff was very polite and helpful.

| Hotel was great, however the small beach area is not monitored for large rocks hidden in water. Heated pool was great though.

| I had read other reviews on this hotel so I was skeptical. But everyone on their staff was helpful and very courteous. The rooms were decorated very beautifully. Our room was clean and had a wonderful view of the gulf. This hotel is a good walk from Pier60 but is worth it! There is a Walgreen's across the street, which was very nice! I would stay there again but I understand they are closing in Dec 2006 to make way for condos.

| The hallway decor is mustard yellow and seafoam green, if that gives you a clue about how old it is. No decorative updates will happen because they have plans to tear it down and build condos. That said, it's clean and cheap. Rooms are nice but the only sink is inside the bathroom rather than outside, like more modern designs. The location on Clearwater Beach isn't excellent. It's actually facing south on Clearwater Pass, not facing directly west. The beach is pretty small and it's hard to walk around to the larger beach.
