The Coast Santa Cruz Hotel, billed as the only beachfront hotel on Santa Cruz County’s coastline, is on Cowells Beach. The hotel houses an outdoor pool and poolside bar, sundeck, hot tub, and children’s pool. The hotel’s restaurant, Mainsail, provides stunning views of Monterey Bay and a varied menu of popular entrees. The hotel also provides complimentary valet parking. Complimentary, wireless, high-speed Internet access is offered in all guestrooms and public areas. Network cards also are available to guests for a refundable $150 deposit.

| Everything worked out ok even though the airline lost our luggage. But the hotel is right on the beach,we had a good view from our balcony. The room was very clean, the pool is heated, and they put out a tray of chocolate chip cookies at the from desk every afternoon. The hotel crew was very helpful. If I ever get back to Santa Cruz, this is the hotel that I will stay at.

| We don't recommend this hotel and I certainly wouldn't give it 3 stars. There were kids in the pool until 11:00pm, kids running around in the room above us, kids and parents talking loudly in the hallways. Then the staff wheeled carts down those same hallways at 5am. The restuarant and bar were good: good service and good food. Don't go there expecting a good night's rest.

| Very disappointed! Very expensive for what you get. Very much Motel Six! Bad beds, terrible on site restaurant with even worst service, noisy kids all night long. Parked our car in valet parking and upon it's return it was covered with food and drink! Good Luck!

| The view was outstanding! My husband and I plan to go back everytime we are in Santa Cruz. The complementary valet was terrific. Perfect location, right near the Boardwalk, Beach, pier and cliff trail for walking.

| This hotel has only 2 things going for it-location and a decent pool area. Room quality and service are mediocre. We ordered room service and had brunch from the onsite restaurant (The Mainsail) and both were below average, especially for the ridiculous price. Brunch food was cold, eggs were undercooked, not much variety. Employees in general were not up to par and a little unfriendly. Again, the good points are a nice pool area with spa & kiddie pool (you can order drinks/snacks by the pool) and the fact that you are right on the beach.

| We were pleasantly surprised with the location and quality of this hotel. Nothing beats being on the beach and the hotel itself was surprisingly nice. The restaurant could improve on the quality of their food but the hotel itself outshone it.

| I loved this hotel. The view was fantastic. You could wake up to the sound of the ocean and fall asleep by the sound of the ocean.
