    Features
What to expect: The lobby, with its wood-paneled walls, gilded and coffered ceilings, bronze elevator doors, and chandeliers, is a glamorous downtown rendezvous. Throughout the hotel, paintings and prints depict 150 years of local history. The Press Room has been the launching pad for countless Massachusetts politicians through the years. Within easy access of Boston’s historical, shopping, financial, and government districts, this hotel draws equal numbers of vacationers and business travelers.

Amenity highlights: Boston Cream Pie, Boston Scrod, and, of course, Parker House Rolls all originated—and are still served—at Parker’s, the hotel’s renowned restaurant. John F. Kennedy proposed to Jacqueline Bouvier at Table 40. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in public areas.

Insider tip: Start your tour of the Freedom Trail, Boston Irish Heritage Trail, and Literary Trail all from the hotel. Or take a free 90-minute guided tour of the downtown portion of the Freedom Trail, led by National Park Service rangers. Ranger tours are offered daily mid-April through Thanksgiving and begin at park headquarters on 15 State Street, about two blocks from the hotel.

Parker's - Appointed with oak paneling and Waterford chandeliers, Parker’s serves American and Continental cuisine, including its famous Parker House Rolls and Boston Cream Pie. John F. Kennedy proposed to Jacqueline Bouvier at Table 40.

Parker's Bar - Mahogany paneling, a fireplace, and stained-glass windows provide appealing surroundings for cocktails, along with dining from the Parker’s menu. The spot was popular with Boston’s Saturday Club, a 19th-century literary group that included Thoreau, Emerson, and Oliver Wendell Holmes.

The Last Hurrah - This bar draws locals and Beacon Hill politicians for drinks and meals. It has a lighter, more casual feel than Parker's and is a good spot for people-watching both inside and out along School and Tremont streets.

We loved that this hotel was very convenient to all of the areas of interest in downtown Boston. The staff was very helpful with directions and recommendations. However, the room was very small and cramped and it seemed like the carpets needed to desperately be cleaned. Aside from the main lobby, the hotel could have used some cosmetic upgrades.

This hotel is really beautiful. The room was small but clean. The beds are very comfortable and piled high with lots of comfy pillows and covers. The bathroom had a deep tub and a pulsating shower head. The hotel staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The location is perfect because it's central to everything...shopping, theaters, parks, restaurants, and it's right on the Freedom Trail. I was able to get my room at a very reasonable rate through Expedia. I would definately recommend staying at the Boston Omni Parker House Hotel.

The hotel's location is perfect. You can easily walk to the major spots. It feels like a safe area (as most areas in Boston). The hotel is charming due to its history. Rooms are small but nicely decorated. We would definitely stay there again.

Great value, location and amenities, right in the heart of downtown. Easy walking distance to so many historical sites and attractions, it would take days to see them all. Hotel itself is an historical attraction. (John Kennedy proposed to Jackie at table 40 in the world class restaurant, and Boston Cream Pie invented here)Close and easy access to Logan Airport (5 to 10 min) depending on traffic. (See my note below) Top Shelf Service and the bed was a dream to sleep on. Not your usual hotel bed. Downside.... so cosy and comfortable, it's hard to get out of in the morning. Best hotel stay I ever had in Boston. As our governor Arnold would say, "I'll be back"! ................JL

We got a nice price on here so it was a great deal... otherwise it would have been too expensive for us to afford. However, it beautiful, classic hotel. I'm a "germaphobe" so I am picky about cleanliness in hotels but no problems at all here. It was in walking distance to all kinds of food, historic sites, shopping, etc. and the T was close when we wanted to head out to Fenway, Duck Tours, etc... which brings me to another plus: The concierge desk was excellent. Very helpful and friendly. The paninis in the cafe downstairs were really good. The enormous arrangement of fresh flowers in the lobby was pretty impressive too. I'd definately recommend it if it's in your price range.

Omni Parkerhouse is a wonderful hotel with an amazing history. The decor is old world and the main lobby is perfectly restored and maintained. Rooms are spotless and service is outstanding. This is the place that invented parkerhouse dinner rolls, baked scrod and Boston cream pie! It is also located within walking distance of the freedom trail and some of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at.
