I spent a week at Jolly Beach and I must say that it was a very boring but relaxing week. There really isn't much to do on the island. Most of the excursion companies go to the same sites on the island. The evening entertainment at the hotel was pretty bad. The liquor was horrible. They use this cheep clear rum that tastes like rubbing alcohal. So, if you want to have some real liquor, you have to go outside of the resort. The food was average, I really was not impressed. I guess you get what you pay for. I read in other people's review that the staff was rude. Well, I can confirm that! Not every single staff member was rude, there were a couple of pleasant people but I can across a large number of staff members that were really rude. When you say "thank you" to food servers, you would get no response with a dirty annoyed look. There was no doubt that some of those misarable people hated their jobs. I had the supersaver room which was very small but it worked for me because I spend most of my time outside of the room. Don't plan on sleeping well on their hard beds with pillows that felt like 2x4's. The tree frogs were very loud at night. They sounded like a constant running car alarm. The beach was really nice and the water was beautiful. Just watch out for those big moon jelly fish! Venders on the beach were very annoying and pushy at times. I found myself trying to avoid them as much as possible because some of them would not take No for an answer.

We found the room was very tiny. Half of the people at the hotel seemed rude and could care less if we were having a good time. And the entertainment every night was terrible.

Ants (small) in the bathroom, and in room/balcony, otherwise a great place to stay. Staff servers (food) could be more friendly, maybe smile once in awhile! Maybe offer more activities when booking, as there were several off resort vendors trying to sell activities, could not trust them.

We stayed in a standard room for our 1 week stay. The room was ok and seemed to be pretty clean, but it was quite smaller than I expected. The hotel staff was mostly quite friendly and helpful. I would definitely visit again, but reserve a larger room.

3 stars for this hotel is way too much. External facilities are ok but rooms are bad: We had to change it twice. Rooms we tried were either very small (the size of a cruise cabin), extremely noisy (soundproofing is non-existent) or smelled cigarretes(despite supposedly being non-smoking). Food is average. Service is ok at best. Beach is nice but not great. I can definitely find a better value for this price.

I would rate the hotel overall at about 21/2 stars. While the people were great, the accomodations could be better. The meals were average at best. The beach was nice and plentiful and the water sports accessible. A few other restaurants were within walking distance, otherwise another means of travel was necessary. Waters were perfect temperature, however, the reefs are not all that colorful and the fish were not all that plentiful. Still had fun, but the Bahamas are a better value for the dollar.

The Hotel was situated on a excellent large beach...very clean and lots do to if you bring $$$$...many did not. We choose the standard room that over looked the beach which was a wonderful location and away from the core crowds. The room was still very small and the louvers on the door and screen on the bathroom window made the rooms air conditioning system work ineffectively. There is a ceiling fan in the room but ours did not work and was never fixed per our request and the air conditioning leaked water but was fixed extremely fast. Note: the entrance to the room and bathroom are located next to the walk way so there's very little privacy and if your taking a shower or anything else anyone walking by can have a conversation with you. We encountered extremely wonderful staff members and other staff members who complained openly every day that they hated their job. The food was "ok" with the Italian and Indian resturants being your best choice "daily reservations required" The buffet was average with sitting outside under the umberellas almost unbearable due to the birds swooping in for their share of your lunch. At night the lighting was very low so you're unable to see what your eating. Overall we had a good and relaxing time. We stayed 8 days with exceptional weather...Last tip make sure you bring plenty of sunscreen we used spf50 and still got a slight sunburn on my face.

The hotel staff was very rude and unaccomodating. The service was terrible and people were very unfriendly. It is not "all Inclusive" There are extra charges for alot of basic meal items and water sports. The only enjoyable part is the sailing staff who are there to help. Everyone else was unpleasant, seemed to not enjoy their jobs and hated having you as a guest at the hotel.

The food is just so so...the best dinners we had were at the buffet, which one would think has the poorest food, but I have to admit it was better than the actual restaurants on the resort... The staff was a blast!! They really made us feel welcome!
