| This is a clean, quiet hotel and the location is unbeatable. Very nice marble bathrooms with large mirrors and french doors. I recommend the hotel. However, the prices for extras are preposterous. I made two phone calls to Europe and in both cases got only an answering machine (leaving a 5 word message once) and I was billed $42!

| This hotel is in a great location, very close to Rockefeller Plaza & St. Patrick's. The room was comfortable, but the AC in the hotel as a whole was on overdrive, VERY COLD. The halls are cold, and the rooms are cold. Actually, we set our room temp. to 78 degrees one night, and woke up to 62 degrees. I told the concierge, and she told me the thermostat "couldn't be broken, it's just cool outside this morning". Anyway, we just turned off the AC in our room, and let the cool air pour in under the closed door from the hallway. I guess I could have picked up a souvenir sweatshirt, but NYC temps were 80+ degrees in Aug. All in all, this is a great hotel and we don't feel like we overpaid at all. It is in a safe location, and within an easy walk to the UN, Grand Central, Rockefeller Plaza, and Central Park. We seem to always choose hotels on the East Side, to stay away from the heavy activity of Times Square, but you can quickly get to Times Square if that's where you want to go. Make sure and go by a drug store or small market to get drinks and snacks before you go up to the room for the night, because the mini-bar prices are ridiculously outrageous. I'm not sure if there was a coke machine in the ice room, b/c our maid always filled up our ice bucket for us, (nice touch).

| The Omni is a great place to stay. The staff was very helpful and considerate. The hotel is within walking distance of most attractions. Subway entrances were close by for other trips. I would definitely stay at the Omni again.

| No hotel one stays in will ever stay forever pristine - there is always some level of wear. Keeping that in mind, this hotel earns the 5's given above. The room space is ample, clean, and the bathrooms are immaculate. The hotel is elegantly appointed without being "over the top". I found the service people kind and always present when needed. There are cheaper hotels, yes, but do yourself a favor, and stay here. You will have no regrets.

| The Location is perfect, the Bershire suite is big. The bathroom is very good. There are two little problems. The Sofa Bed is bad (for the kids its ok) and the cleanliness was not so good ( We have spent 10 nights and I didn't notice the use of vacuum in the carpet.

| Four friend recently stayed at the Omni...love the location and hospitaliy. One room had a slight problem with the bathroom but that was fixed in a flash. The only inconvenience was the rennovations of bar and restaurant...but we survived. The hotel staff were great..I will personally stay there again and I think my friends would also.
