Features
What to expect: During the week, the hotel draws a mostly corporate crowd in town for conferences and meetings. On weekends, the hotel is filled with families who come to shop at Washington Square Mall and play golf at the 18-hole public golf course next door. Guests mingle comfortably in the atrium lobby where a waterfall offers a soothing backdrop to conversation.

Amenity highlights: This suburban hotel offers several complimentary services, including cooked-to-order buffet breakfast, guest parking, and a nightly manager’s reception with full bar and snacks. The recreation area on the lobby level has an indoor heated pool, sauna, spa, and fitness room. Complimentary shuttle service is offered by arrangement to a nearby MAX light rail station and to restaurants, shops, and attractions within one mile of the hotel.

Insider tip: Oregon has no sales tax, so many hotel guests come here specifically to shop at the Washington Square Mall, which is three blocks from the hotel and accessible via complimentary hotel shuttle service. In addition to 140 shops and department stores, the mall has many restaurants, several hair salons, print and copy shops, banks, an auto center, and other services.

Guests of the hotel enjoy a complimentary cooked-to-order/buffet breakfast each morning.

Crossroads Restaurant and Lounge - Crossroads Restaurant serves Pacific Northwest cuisine in a contemporary setting. The menu features seafood, chicken, steaks, salads, and pasta. A large adjacent lounge has a pool table. Both the restaurant and lounge are smoke-free.

We were traveling with a 3 and 1 year old and the hotel was great! The room was clean and very nice. The kids had a ball in the pool, we all enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, and managers reception in the evening. We were also impressed that they allowed dogs... big dogs...not just little purse dogs..next time we will bring ours.

This hotel is located a short walk from Washington Square and located centrally between Beaverton and SW downtown Portland in Tigard. Rooms are spacious and clean, and each suite is split into two "rooms", making it a good place to stay on a budget if you have kids.

We were very impressed with the Hotel. It was very clean and neat. It was impressive with the waterfall in the lobby. The kids loved it as well, they liked the fact that the pool was open 24 hrs so they could swim anytime they wanted to. The room was very nice and comfy. The hotel staff was quick to be of service. The room service was geat and quick as well. I would recommend this Hotel to everyone. It would be one that I would go back to.

The room was very nice. We had a living area with a tv separate from the bedroom which was nice. The only downfall was the Tv kept going off, they were having cable problems. The free cooked to order breakfast was nice.

While we are more than satisfied with all other aspects of this hotel, the advertised "daily cooked-to-order breakfast" during our 6-day stay in December 2005 was abominable. All items on the steam table (eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes) were lukewarm; only simple (no add-ins) omelettes were available as "cooked to order", and only on weekdays. Staff only prepared omelettes grudgingly, even though this is the only way to get anything hot. Regardless of the time of morning we came to breakfast, the results were the same: cold food of poor quality. Tough pancakes, stringy bacon, canned orange juice. This buffet is not what we would expect from an Embassy Suites hotel.

We went to shop at the nearby mall, what a pleasant surprise to have such a conveinently located hotel. The breakfast was great, the pool was clean, the managers social was a blast. We are eager to go again.

This must be the oldest property that Embassy Suites owns... it is in major need of a renovation.
