Features
What to expect: Couples and families with older children are attracted to this 7-acre hotel, which was a former private club that has been restored and enlarged. Tranquility reigns at this hotel, which is secluded at the end of a long driveway lined by mature casuarina (tropical pine) trees. Amenity highlights: The turquoise Caribbean Sea gently washes along a 400-yard beach. Tall casuarina trees partly shade the section fronting the hotel. Umbrellas also offer shade, while thickly cushioned lounge chairs provide sunbathing enjoyment. Cushioned lounge chairs also ring four narrow, rock-lined, lagoon pools in a courtyard running through the hotel's center. The courtyard features rock waterfalls, flower gardens, and tall tropical trees. Insider tip: Early mornings and early evenings, green vervet monkeys, originally brought by settlers from Africa, swing through tall trees along a slough at the hotel's southern boundary.

| A beautiful hotel and great breakfast included! This is a quiet hotel. Nice location. A place to really unwind. Dinner was expensive, as were most of the "nicer" resturants on the Island. In the evening there was live music (mostly soft jazz) while enjoying drinks and dinner. The pools and grounds were beautifully maintained, and the rooms always tended.

| Great location in Holetown - close proximity to all attractions. Service from the friendly staff allowed us to overlook some detractions. (not many, but had a few power outages and had trouble getting daily room cleanings)

| My husband and I visited the Colony Club. We were impressed by the overall quality of the hotel. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean. Each room has a patio with a table and chairs and two lounge chairs. Be sure to ask for the week's activities when you arrive. The beach is very nice. About half is shaded beach. A few days staff passed out cold towels and fruit to those on the beach. The water activities are free, we snorkeled, tubed and sailed. There are vendors that come by on the beach, and can be annoying, but they are not pushy. I think people will encounter these vendors anywhere since beaches are public. The hotel provides a good breakfast buffet. We ate at the hotel restaurant for dinner once, it was okay, but overpriced, like all food on the island. There is a large drink selection at the outside bar. The bar menu is okay, but there is not much of a selection. On one night the hotel offers a buffet and show. It is pricey, $60 USD each, but the package is worth it. The hotel reception is very helpful. Aside from the beach there are pools winding throughout the complex. There are lounge chairs set up at each of the pools for those who wish to lay out there. Overall, this was a great hotel to stay at. It is very charming - not a huge hotel. The grounds are magnificent. The pool, beach, rooms were all perfect. After driving around the island and seeing the different beaches, I think the Colony Club was the best hotel we saw. We would definitely stay here again.

| the colony club is a beautiful hotel, with a competent and attentive staff, to which i would gladly return. being bajan, i would like to make the following suggestions: 1. more bajan dishes on the dinner menu. 2. a microwave in the room. 3. the underwater rocks, near the shore, removed. 4. a self service laundermat that the guests can use.
