LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort-A Noble House Resort Amenities
The resort offers a championship 18-hole, par 72 golf course designed by Robert Cupp. There is a 6,907-yard layout with driving range and practice area, and 14 lakes present a challenging game. The course includes the David Leadbetter Golf Academy and a 15,000-square-foot clubhouse, and is located three miles from the resort, with shuttles for transportation (surcharge).

The 4,500-square-foot spa and fitness center has a view of the resort's cascading pools and includes cardio and strength-training equipment and free weights. An upstairs studio has a wood floor, BOSE music system, mirrored wall, and windows overlooking the pools. Classes include water workouts, Pilates, and yoga; personal-training sessions are available (surcharge). After a workout, guests can indulge in the Indonesian-inspired SpaTerre, which offers an array of body treatments and rituals (surcharge). The signature Javanese Lulur Royal Treatment, for example, includes a massage with jasmine and frangipani oils, followed by an exfoliation treatment, a scented shower, and a soak in a Japanese tub infused with rose petals.

The bright-blue waters of cascading freeform pools are surrounded by a lushly landscaped terrace shaded by palm trees, with the tiki bar nearby. Guests will find a tiled spa tub, covered cabanas, cushy chaise lounges, and a teak garden seating with umbrellas for alfresco dining. The resort is located on the white-sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico, and guests can choose from water sports, beachcombing, sunbathing, and sandcastle building. Water-sports rentals include bodyboards, floats, kayaks, pedal boats, Catamaran sailboats, wave runners, and parasailing.

There is 11,000 square feet of meeting and event space that can accommodate up to 500 guests for executive retreats, weddings, conferences, and catered receptions. Many of the meeting rooms have views of the calm Vanderbilt Bay. Event space includes the Vanderbilt and Bayside ballrooms, eight breakout rooms, outdoor venues by the pools, the golf clubhouse, and the expansive Bayview terrace. High-speed Internet access is available, and a staffed business center offers administrative services; charges may apply.

Valet parking:
$18 per 24-hour period
Fee does not include tax and is subject to change without prior notification.

Features
What to expect: Wood-slat ceilings and rocking chairs on the front terrace add to the graceful ambience that greets leisure, business, and conference-group travelers. In the lobby, elements of old Florida redefined include honey-colored wicker sofas with chenille cushions, pots of tropical greenery, marble floors with inlaid tile, and ceiling fans rotating next to shimmering crystal chandeliers.

Amenity highlights: The Indonesian-inspired SpaTerre is a place of tranquility with a scent of roses, candlelight, wooden Japanese soaking tubs, and cool slate floors. The spa offers an array of body treatments and rituals (surcharge). Another focal point of the resort is a set of cascading freeform pools surrounded by a lushly landscaped terrace with a tiki bar and tiled spa tub nearby. Three miles away, the resort's 18-hole golf course is designed by Robert Cupp and features a 15,000-square-foot clubhouse.

Insider tip: Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary has a 2.25-mile raised boardwalk that lets visitors trek through several ecosystems. A mecca for birdwatchers and nature lovers, the 11,000-acre preserve has 600-year-old bald cypress, an ancient swamp, and wet prairies. Its wildlife includes alligators, wood storks, otters, wild orchids, and turtles. It is managed by the Audubon Society and located 26 miles from the resort.

Baleen - All-day dining in contemporary eclectic Florida decor featuring soft colors and fabrics and mirrored banquette seating. Delicate chandeliers with tiny perched monkeys add a whimsical touch. Specializing in seafood, the restaurant continues out onto a terrace for alfresco dining and a sweeping view of the ocean.

Baleen Bar - Adjacent to the dining area and featuring lighter fare such as Lobster Quesadilla and Crispy Florida Onion Rings. A signature drink is the Baleen Blue Moon served in a 70-ounce glass, perfect for two. Open mid-day until late evening.

Tiki Hut - Quaint, thatched-roof outdoor grill located poolside for tropical drinks and lighter cuisine for lunch and afternoon snacking. Open late morning until sunset.

We were looking for a quick, fun and relaxing getaway. We got that and more. We were amazed at how pampered we felt. The hotel was fabulous. The room was elegant and extremely comfortable. From the front desk staff to the beach butlers, everyone was very friendly and helpful. The resort pools and grounds were immaculate. We will definitely go again.

Just a lovely resort with most all you could want in a beachfront hotel. Staff was extremely courteous and gracious and concierge was very helpful in pointing us in the direction of local restaurants and shops. Can't wait to go back and enjoy everything I missed out on!

We went to Naples Florida and this resort based on the reviews on Expedia. It was absolutely fantastic! Staff was awesome and quality was first rate. The food was a little bit on the pricey side but it was very good! We definitely plan to go back to this hotel!

The decor of the hotel was very tasteful. The atmosphere was relaxing. The beach was beautiful. It would have been nice to have more activities available to guests. We took advantage of the watersports available (Kayak and Jet Ski). The weekend buffet was nice. The Belgian waffles were excellent. There are many affordable restaurants to eat in the vicinity, so we only ate at the hotel restaurant on one occasion.

Upon check in the front desk clerk told us to go to our room and our bags would be up shortly. About an hour and a half later I called down to the front desk to let them know I had to get ready to leave and needed my bags (which were still in my car), they apologized and assured me they would have them brought up immediately. Within 2 minutes the phone rings and it was the valet, who called with an attitude because he was not notified that our bags were to be brought up to the room. I explained to him that has nothing to do with me and to please bring up the bags. Several minutes later (but almost 2 hours after check in) the bags arrived in the room. The lack of communication between the front desk personnel and the valet resulted in me being confronted by the valet about not relaying the proper information to them upon arrival. What more needed to be said but we are checking in to this hotel. The rest of the stay was flawless; the room was gorgeous, as was the view. The property was very well maintained.

La Playa exceeded our expectations. We were a bit nervous, the hotel sign still damaged from the hurricane, but the rest of the hotel...beautiful. The beach was perfect right down to the cold towels served to you at your chosen spot. Would definitely consider another trip there.

My wife and I found LaPlaya by researching on Expedia for a last minute getaway. Boy did we luck out! This place is first class all the way, but with the unique character of relaxed and casual beach bum style. The grounds are beatifully kept in every nook and cranny. The service was perfect!
