hotel had stong odors. One day we stepped in the elevator and it smelled like urine although it was gone the next day. Overall the hotel smelled musty covered by the scent of rose perfume. The room was disappointing, it seemed old. Beware if you have seasonal allergies.

The hotel was located one block away from the metro and there were also alot of restaurants to go to as well. The hotel itself was very nice and we didnt have to walk far at all to get to our room. We were pleasantly suprised at the quality of our room considering that we payed very little to stay there.

Loved it! This hotel was great. My 20 year old brother and I stayed there and we were a little worried it would be overrun with families however it wasn't. The rooms were large and beautiful as was the bathroom. We stayed on the 6th floor. The staff were really sweet and seemed to sincerely desire us to have a great stay. The metro (and a McDonalds, various restaurants and a pharmacy) is one block away with just a short ride to the city.

This is a very comfortable hotel that is still very family friendly. Staff bends over backwards to help out. Beautiful pool space. Great location by the zoo

Just returned from a four night stay at the Omni with my 18 year old daughter. The aspect I liked most about this hotel was that I felt safe walking around the area. We walked home from dinner in the Adams- Morgan area one night and there were several other people walking also. The hotel is old and the rooms are showing their age but the lobby area is very nice. We ate just one meal, the breakfast buffet, in the hotel and the food was fine - very basic. The hotel is off the beaten path - not close to any of the sites but the metro is one block away. We took a cab to Georgetown. If you are a runner or walker the Rock Creek Park path is adjacent to the hotel. I ran on the path to Georgetown one day, but the run I enjoyed the most was crossing the Connecticut Avenue Bridge and running through the neighbor hood that borders the park. I would reccommend this hotel espcially to a single woman traveling alone or with kids.

The hotel was elegant and the staff was very accomodating. Our flight arrival times did not coincide with the hotels check in and check out times. They assisted with early check in and baggage storage. The location was perfect for us being only one block from the Metro and several more to the zoo. There were lots of neat little restaurants nearby. Next time we're in DC we'll be staying at the Omni Shoreham again.

We staid at the hotel the last night after a 3-week visit in USA. Maybe we got a very good deal. But it was definetely much better standard than the other hotels. Big rooms. Soundless aircondition. Big pool. Friendly room service (who returned with free cakes and milk for the kids). Quiet surroundings, including a buitiful park. Close to a metro line. The only minus was quite slow check in and out.

This hotel is too far from the airport. In very crowed noisy area. Especially if you rent a car and are not familiar with this area ... do not make a reservation with this stupid hotel. You are not going to get there in less than 5 hours. It's very hard to find this hotel. My worst experience ever!!! If you call the hotel and ask for direction, someone will put you on hold forever... each one of operators will give you different directions... hahaha.. There is just one lady who spent a lot of time for me to find this stupid hotel.. Without her, I would have given up to find this hotel... No one guarantees that this lady will stay with her job when you get there.. So, do not go there...
