Doubletree Paradise Valley Resort-Scottsdale Amenities
This two-story, 22-acre hotel offers a health club with massage services and racquetball courts; a beauty salon; complimentary, freshly baked chocolate-chip cookies upon arrival; bike rentals; putting green; and two pools; along with a lobby-level restaurant, a poolside restaurant, and a bar. "Dive-In Movies" are shown at one of the pools on Saturday nights in summer.

Recreation
The two swimming pools are the same size, but one is designed for activities, such as water polo and volleyball, and is located next to a sandy playground with a slide and swings. The hotel has a nine-hole putting green and two racquetball courts in the health club. Bike rentals allow riders to cruise the nearby 15-mile Scottsdale Greenbelt.

The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.

Features
What to expect: Designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright's students, this two-story hotel on 22 acres appeals to golfers, families, couples, and businesspeople. Textural design elements protrude from the hotel's raw concrete exterior, creating ever-changing shadow patterns on the walls. A thoughtfully labeled garden of regional cactuses occupies an intimate courtyard, which has mountain views.

Amenity Highlights: The resort’s fully equipped health club includes massage services, as well as tennis and racquetball courts. Putting greens, bicycle rentals and two swimming pools are available. Complimentary, freshly baked chocolate-chip cookies are served upon arrival and room service items are delivered on golf carts. The Loggia Bar off the lobby provides live entertainment Thursday–Sunday nights and during Sunday brunch.

Insider Tip: This hotel is located on Scottsdale's greenbelt, which offers 15 miles of meandering bike and jogging trails. Guests can rent bicycles at the hotel.

Palm Grill - This casual poolside restaurant serves seafood, beef, and poultry meals—diners choose the cut and it’s cooked tableside. Open everyday for lunch and dinner.

En Fuego - Just off the lobby, this restaurant offers fine dining and spicy Southwestern cuisine along with American classics such as steaks and seafood in an atrium with views of gardens, waterfalls, and the pool. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served every day, and brunch is served on Sundays.

Loggia Bar - Just off the lobby, the Loggia has a full bar and serves appetizers, lunch, and dinner (sandwiches and salads), and offers live entertainment Sunday–Thursday.

This was a great place to stay. Spacious room with really nice furniture. The air conditioner was quiet as well. Only stayed one night and didn't try any of the extra features like the pool. Only prblem with our particular room was that the toilet would run here and there and it wasn't the quietest noise. Otherwise we couldn't hear anything.

I was surprised at all the negative reviews, this place is great. The rooms are huge, the beds are the best, and the service was good. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is so close to downtown Scottsdale and they even offer shuttle service there. I had a great stay.

This was a nice break from typical small business hotels, the feeling was more like being at a resort, and definately made me want to be on vacation instead of business so I could enjoy the amentities. My only complaint is that it smelled a little musty in my room and in the hallways leading to the room, now with the weather that AZ has been having, it might be hard to control that. I enjoyed the overall stay and would stay there again.

The hotel was outdated and I was disappointed for a resort in Scottsdale. The plugs did not work in the room and neither did the coffee pot. The customer service was not good when I called about the room. The staff was not friendly and was not helpful. I would not stay there again

This was one of the worse "resorts" I have ever stayed in. Stayed 2 nights with one day no housekeeping...seemed "someone" left do not disturb on door?? Health Club attendant rude and not available. Was put in a smoking room when asked for non-smoking room and then to end the bad stay the yard maintenance started with LOUD blowers and mowers right outside the front and back of the room starting before 8:00am and continued for an hour. This place should not be a resort classification, it was terrible.

This hotel is in a great location, but it wasn't the best place to stay. The room could have used more improvements, such as a lock on the sliding glass door. Also, there were ants on one of the tables during our stay. The work out room was nice though.

Went in December, heated pools, dining outdoors, and friendly staff. We would stay again, but bathroom wasn't cleaned and restocked some days like it was supposed to be.
