    Features
What to expect: Occupying 12 acres of gardens, ponds, and waterfalls along Aruba's high-rise hotel strip on 2-mile Palm Beach, the resort has an open-air lobby with terra-cotta tile floor, wood-paddle ceiling fans, and wrought-iron chandeliers. The hotel attracts families and celebrating couples.

Amenity highlights: Sprawling amid flowering tropical gardens and an enormous freshwater lagoon stocked with fish, an 8,000-square-foot pool complex features a two-story serpentine water slide and six-person ocean-view spa. A three-level pool offers a lower activities section containing a swim-up bar and an upper quiet section. Palm Beach runs 2 miles in front of the Hyatt Regency and other resorts. Rental water-sports gear is available at numerous centers, including one within the resort. Snorkeling, scuba diving, and sailing excursions and cruises are widely available.

Insider tip: Macaws, parrots, and a black-and-yellow toucan with a giant, Technicolor beak are scattered throughout the central gardens. Most are housed in cages, but an uncaged, raucous choir of macaws enlivens the pool scene.

The resort features a dining complex designed like stone "ruins" topped by gardens and surrounded by pools and waterfalls. Located within the complex around a courtyard fountain are three air-conditioned beach/sea-view restaurants—the Italian Café Piccolo, the Japanese Cafe Japengo, and the international-cuisine Ruinas del Mar. The three serve á la carte dinners and share breakfast service, with both a buffet and á la carte menu available and a brunch on Sundays.

What a great place to stay. Private beach, pools, plenty of bars including a pool bar, a waterslide, watersports right on your private beach, it's right next to other hotels, there's a pier bar. An outstanding choice if you're looking to relax and enjoy yourself. I spent 3 days there doing absolutely nothing and had a great time. Already planning a trip back. Great choice.

This hotel is in a great location with a few shops and restaraunts right across the street. There is also a bus stop right outside, which will take you into town for a very small roundtrip fee. The resort has a wonderful beach and pools. Service on the beach and at the pools was excellent though drink and food prices are a bit high. Rooms are very nice, and housekeeping does a good job everyday. However, be sure to get a room with a large balcony as the "step-out" balconies are very tiny and not large enough to sit out on.

The problem is the personal. They are not nice at all, and very slow. They work for the hotel and not for the client who is on holiday. Everything is complicated and takes time. The service is really bad and almost doesn't exist in the beach. The only thing which interests the hotel is to earn money, we can feel it. The hotel is nice, the beach too. The food is not very fine. It's like a big machine and you can feel this machine's side.

I chose the Hyatt because of his 5 star rating, but much to our surprise, the hotel needs a complete revamp to bring it back to a 5 star rating. Bathroom shower walls look like the tiles were painted and the paint was coming off otherwise it was mold. Furniture and accessories outdated. Breakfast buffet had flies all over as well as bird crap all over tables and chairs while hotel staff looked on. Way too many young children in adult pool.

We researched a lot of hotels before choosing the Hyatt and were not disappointed. The one problem we had was at check-in when we did not receive the type of room we had booked through Expedia, although we question whether that was an Expedia problem. When we questioned the room issue, the hotel immediately moved us to a room that we wanted without any problem and apologized for this. The hotel was very clean and the pools and beach were excellent. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We were travelling with 2 small children (3 and 6) and while the cost of food at the Hyatt was high, there were several good dining choices within walking distance. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and will return to the Hyatt again.

I have always been very satisfied with our experience at Hyatt resorts at other locations. Aruba is no exception. Hyatt is located at just the right place with restaurants within walking distance, perfect in all respects to enjoy a relaxing vacation. The bus to downtown is just outside the hotel is very convenient. We stayed three-nights and enjoyed it and recommend it highly.

An experience that you can expect from Hyatt... A beautiful property well maintained, very comfortable with an extremely friendly staff. The best experience that I have had in the carribean so far. The restaurants were all excellent. Not too pricey. There was no need to venture out. A great place to just relax.

The Hyatt Regency Aruba is truly a first class hotel with everything you could ask for on a resort island. We visited for our second honeymoon after 30 years of marriage. The staff is great and cannot do enough for the guests. The beach and staff out there is outstanding. Watching the sunfall at their pier bar is worth the trip alone. The rooms are very comfortable with quick elevators to get you in and out as quick as possible. The pool area is spectacular and the pool staff is always willing to be of service. There are so many great restaurants on the island that the concierge is always busy with great tips and every recommendation was right on. Can't say enough about this place and the casino is not that bad either. Overall you can't find better at the price. We will return.
