I was not aware when I booked into this hotel that it would be the only business (other than the liqour store and gas station next to it) for miles. So, I was trapped at the dumpy Chinese Restaurant in the hotel and the person at the front desk was not a lot of help because she had just moved to Wyoming from the East Coast. After sitting in the airport on the way home, I realized that I should have gone downtown where there were multi-level hotels and better food options.

This was the dirtiest hotel that I have ever stayed at. The floor was so gross I wouldn't take my shoes off. Then the breaker blew while I was blow drying my hair and my 9 year old was in the shower. It took the maintenance 30 minutes to come and fix it.

When entering our standard room, there was a sack of Burger King food in the waste basket, and smelled like it had been left there a few days. Our daughter found a straight pin stuck in the bedspread...luckily she wasn't hurt by it. All of the pillows felt like they'd been stuffed with washed cotton balls.

The Quality Inn, Cheyenne is a standard "you get what you pay for" type of motel. The people running it were very nice, check in was quick and friendly, and the room was what you would expect for the price: the beds were comfortable and everything worked. My only complaint was with the heating. The blower came on with a crash every 20 minutes or so, which made falling asleep difficult.

I was not impressed with the overall cleanliness of the hotel. Cracked floors in the laundry room, garbage piled in the hallway, old carpeting in rolls, and a roundabout way of getting to my room. Through doors, up stairs, through more doors, through laundry room, more doors and then the outside hallway where my room was located.Just not a very well-kept-up hotel.
