| For a 2-star hotel, my wife and I was very satisfied with the room. I would say it's the best 2-star we have stayed in. The bed was extremely comfortable and the sleep was better than what we have had at home. There's also a frig in the room, to our surprise. HOWEVER, one should be aware that even the hotel is in fact 15 miles away from the Yosemite South Gate, it will take at least 30min to get there. and another hour to the village (where most scenery is at) from the gate. The worst part is that it's all 30-40M/hr zig-zag up-down hill mountain drive! Find something in the village if you can. This hotel is nice but a bit too far if you are going to Yosemite. Unless you are only staying there for the Chinese take out next door. ;)

| Very nice and helpful personal - We arraived at the hotel at around 1:40am and expected some delays with checking in - but were surprised - room was already waiting for us (checking in was even faster then usual). Breakfast was also very beneficial in the morning.

| We stayed at this hotel for a night during a recent trip to Yosemite. We went off-season otherwise the price would have been 3 times higher. They are in the process of rennovations (which didn't affect us). The clerk/manager was wonderful, helpful, friendly with directions and advice. The room size was adequate for 3-4 people, clean and beds fairly comfortable. While it is not a 5 star accommodation it was a place I would stay again as opposed to paying exhorbitant prices at other Yosemite hotels closer to Yosemite with the same amenities. They have a small pool (we didn't use it) and it appeared to be maintained well. The hotel is in walking distance of a McDonald's, laundromat, and one of the name brand coffee houses (can't remember which one). Everyone in the town was pleasant. Yosemite is GORGEOUS and worth the trip.
