We would definalty stay at Wyndham Sugar Bay again. We went to St. Thomas to celerabrate our 5th year wedding anniversary and stayed at Wyndham for six night and seven days. Our room had beautiful furniture and room open to a balcony with breathtaking view. Staff is very friendly and willing to help. I am vegetarian and was concern that Wyndham might not have enough things for me to eat but instead we eat like kings. Our favorite restaurant was Mangrove, I always found enough to eat and desert was delicious. We had dinner once at Manor House and food was bland and service was horrible. Breakfast is lot better at Manor House. Also Wyndham does not offer room service but they do let you take food and drinks to the room.

Stayed at the Wyndham for 5 days in Augsut 06. Had been to other all-inclusive places, but decided to stay as a non-inclusive guest. We like to travel around and renting a car was the way to go. By the way, I'd recommend Dependalble car rental in charlotte amalie-they were great. Helpful, good pries and wlling to shuttle us around to airport, ferry, etc. which saved a bunch of $ for the 3 of us. The hotel was close to Red Hook and lots of other resorts. We ate at a different restaurant for each meal. The hotel's beach, pool and water amenites were well run and organized. The free towel service was appreciated. We went jet skiing and I do recommend it. The food we ate the Wyndham was very okay, American type continental food. I would have gone crazy just sitting for 5 days at the reosrt and using it as a base to explore the islands was great. The steps to the beach and pool did not bother us, but the shuttle was pretty regular and wait times were short.

Overall I enjoy the hotel. It was the first time I had been to the Caribean. However, like most resort / tourist places, they overcharge for everything... they charged for internet; breakfast was $19.00 ... for a simple buffet.. etc

each day something went wrong. one day, no water for an hour in the afternoon between 4--5 pm. next day no electricity on and off between 11am and 5pm...service personnel were typical St. Thomas....they look at you, smile, and do nothing to really help you.....that is all over St. Thomas...it is over grown and over developed because of the cruise lines docking there so often....

Definitely worth it: awestruck w/ our view. The rooms were nice. For all inclusive, the food was suprisingly good. I somewhat expected to get bored, but that wasn't the case after 8 days. There was enough variety w/ the buffets, that we had different meals everyday.Try the stuffed blue crabs. Yum! The only less than (+) parts of the resort include the spa, which was mediocre. The outdoor jacuzzis had not been cleaned after the last rain & there were insect carcasses in the water. The waiting rm ran out of ice water, & not refilled the entire 2 hrs. we were there. I do not recommend the Sensuality bath. Rip off. Essentially it was a 20-min. bath in a hottub w/ bath salt. Pass on that & the massages. I'd most definitely stay at this resort if I was again on STT, but would find another spa. Another (-) were the red ants on the nature trail & mosquitos that necessitate repellant, & sea urchins. After the sm. sandy beach, there are rocks. Sea Urchins like rocks, & w/out shoes, your feet, like mine, are vulnerable. The staff was prepared w/ the vinegar treatment, though. (That + mai tai & I was fine in a few hours). If you like hanging out at resorts & not seeing much, this is a good spot. There are some other sites to see, but we found that sitting around lounging at the 3 pools, sipping pina coladas & bahama mamas were about as exerting as we wanted to be.

I really enjoyed my stay here. We came for a wedding and they did a beautiful job! I totally recommend the All-Inclusive package! Best decision we made!!! The food was great and the drinks were better. Our room had an Amazing view!! Well worth everything. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Snorkeling on Cokie Beach was great - a little better that the resort beach. Didn't want to leave!!!
