Five low-rise, green-and-white guestroom buildings are connected by pathways with stairways. Complimentary shuttle service is offered between the resort's upper and lower sections, by request. The hotel has an air-conditioned fitness center with cardiovascular and weight-training equipment. Guests may arrange massages at the fitness center or in their rooms (fee charged). The resort grounds are tropically landscaped, with flowering vegetation bordering three swimming pools and rocky waterfalls. The largest pool has a swimup bar and children's section. Tuesday evenings, the resort hosts a complimentary cocktail party. On-site conference and business centers offer a flexible, 2,500-square-foot meeting room, catering services, audio-visual equipment, fax, copier, and a computer with high-speed Internet access (fees charged).

The Ocean Terrace Inn has three swimming pools. The largest pool is a freeform "fantasy pool," which follows the contours of the landscape and features small islands with tropical gardens and cascading waterfalls. The hotel's air-conditioned fitness center contains a universal gym, cardio machines, free weights, and a massage room. In a garden just outside is a six-person spa tub and a hut containing a sauna. An on-site hospitality desk compiles weekly activity sheets with times and costs of various excursions, such as rain forest tours, shopping, and day sailing trips. The hotel offers complimentary shuttle service twice per day to Turtle Bay Beach on the Atlantic Ocean. There guests can snorkel, kayak, ride horses, and windsurf, and a dive shop arranges scuba-diving and snorkeling excursions (fees charged). What to expect: Known locally as OTI, the resort is set on a flower-bestrewn hillside overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The hotel attracts families and couples seeking West Indian ambience, as well as business travelers and locals celebrating special occasions. Artifacts on display include cannons and an anchor from an 18th-century slave ship captained by Long John Silver. Amenity highlights: Three pools are bordered by tropical vegetation and sunbathing areas. The largest pool is designed to resemble a rock-lined lagoon meandering through lush plantings, waterfalls, a kids' section, and a swimup bar. A six-person spa tub and two other pools are set amid gardens terraced down the resort's hillside. American and West Indian breakfasts including specialty of smoked fish with "flap bread," cream cheese, pickled egg, onion, and ackee fruit. Lunch choices include salads, pasta, fish, jerk ribs, and pizza. The dinner menu features a conch-and-mussels sautée, escargot, roast duck, lobster, fish, steaks, lamb chops, and peppered pork loin with spicy guava sauce. Friday night West Indian buffet with live music. Sunday barbecue brunch. Fantasy Pool Bar & Grill - Open-air restaurant with bar under wood ceiling, tables under striped canopy. Menu includes salads, sandwiches, burgers, and tropical drinks. Open for lunch; snacks. | good location, rooms a good size. the air conditioning did not work properly and was reported but not dealt with. the bathroom had a leak from the ceiling. the staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming.

| The rsort is nice, but some of the room are in need of renovation. If you book here make sure that will NOT get rooms in Fishermas Wharf. These hav e beautiful view butlack in quality. 04/2006
