This 23-story hotel in Houston’s Uptown neighborhood (also known as the Galleria area), is across the street from the popular Galleria Shopping Center. In addition to offering conference rooms and business services, the hotel has a business center with two computers and high-speed Internet access (surcharge). There’s also a beauty salon on site, which offers hair and nail services as well as body and facial waxing. The health club has a fitness room with cardiovascular equipment, plus a basketball court, dry sauna, and steam room. A heated indoor-outdoor pool and spa tub are on site as well. Massage services are available and guests can play racquetball on two courts (equipment rental is available; surcharge). Self- and valet parking in a garage are available for a daily fee ($15 for self-parking, $24 for valet; prices are subject to change). Complimentary outdoor parking is available across the street in a non-hotel lot.

The hotel has a large health club with a basketball court, dry sauna, steam room, and a fitness room with cardiovascular and strength-training equipment. There’s also a heated indoor-outdoor pool with a large outdoor deck and an outdoor spa tub. In addition, two racquetball courts are on site (equipment rental is available; surcharge), and massage services are available. There are at least three golf courses within 16 miles of the hotel: Memorial Park Golf Course, with 18 holes, is a mile away; Hermann Park Golf Course, also an 18-hole course, is nine miles away; and the 18-hole Bear Creek Masters Course is 16 miles from the hotel. Travelers can find tennis courts and a jogging path within three miles. The beach is 50 miles away. The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.

The Brasserie - American fare is served in the hotel’s main restaurant, which is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Guests should note that the Brasserie closes for several hours between lunch and dinner. Lobby Lounge - Drinks and a bar menu are offered at this lobby bar, open from early afternoon to midnight.

| I completely recommend the JW Marriot by the Galleria in Houston. I was looking for a hotel that would be nearby the Galleria and found this one that is literally right accross the street from the mall. Plus they have a shuttle service if you do not feel like walking. The rates are very reasonable and this is what I would call a luxury hotel. It has 4 stars and deserves each and every one of them. The hotel room is very comfortable, clean, pretty and has everything you need. I only tried the restaurant for breakfast and thought it was very good, and the service was good too.

| We went for the weekend because of the great rate for this hotel. Located at the Galleria and beautifully done. Friendly staff, clean and first class accomodations.

| Wonderfull beds, specially if you return after some hours of walking in the mall or the outlets. The only thing that we regret was a erroneous indications from the concierge which sends exactly to the opposite site of Houston.
