Outrigger Napili Shores Amenities
The 99-unit, family-friendly condominium resort includes two swimming pools, a hot tub, and low-key activities like croquet, shuffleboard, and outdoor checkers on a walkaround board with coconut-shell checkers. Staff at a desk in the lobby can book other activities available in West Maui and tours to island attractions.

Recreation
Golf alone makes West Maui famous. Three award-winning, championship courses nestle between the verdant West Maui Mountains and the blue Pacific in Kapalua, less than a mile north from Napili Shores Resort. In addition, the Kapalua Golf Academy is nearby. Two large, tournament-grade tennis complexes, The Tennis Garden and the Village Tennis Center, are also in Kapalua.

On the beach at Napili Bay, boogie boards and snorkel sets are available for rent. Scuba-diving lessons and excursions can be booked as well as kayaking/snorkeling tours at the resort's tour-and-activity desk.

The resort, Kapalua, and West Maui offer skydiving, parasailing, helicopter/airplane sightseeing, nature/wildlife tours, and submarine excursions, in addition to the recreational activities listed below.

Features
For bookings that consist of 10 or more rooms, please contact the Group Sales Department at 1-866-Groups1 (4768771).

What to expect: This low-key hotel draws budget-minded families and honeymooners who wish to prepare their own meals and set their own pace, oceanside.

Amenity highlights: Fifty yards away, Napili Bay's sand beach slopes to the water, reachable by an oceanside path. The resort's two-story buildings are separated by a narrow lawn-and-garden courtyard gently falling toward the ocean. At the courtyard's top is a two-section koi pond with fountains. Next comes a pool containing a whirlpool spa in one corner. Then a barbecue deck with two gas grills and two picnic tables. Father down are four charcoal grills and accompanying picnic tables. Another pool by the ocean is surrounded by a large sundeck furnished with lounge chairs. Beyond is a grass slope overlooking a rocky shore. Beyond that there's nothing but the blue Pacific, neighboring Molokai, and fabulous Hawaiian sunsets.

Insider tip: At the oceanfront, turning left instead of right toward the beach at Napili Bay leads guests along a rocky path to a rock-shore cove that's a prime sea turtle gathering spot. Less agile guests walk along the quiet street in front of the resort to a public walkway providing access to the cove.

Orient Express Restaurant - Diners intent on romance enjoy the curved, high-backed banquette-booths looking over the two-section koi-and-fountains pond and to the Pacific beyond. Located next to the lobby, the lovely restaurant serves classic Chinese fare and tropical drinks in the lounge.

Napili shores is a great hotel ! Beach just a short trip with great snorkel and leisure swim - perfect even for kids. The Fish Poi is a perfect restaurant especially after a busy day full of activities. Expedia Center is the BEST ! Friendly and helpful people who try their best to help you get the most out of your Maui trip. The restaurant by the beach is somewhat busy - and you can imagine why ! Well worth a visit ! Although if you can wait till 1pm you have a table sooner.

napili shores is comfortable, good location, well taken care of. excellent pools. located on beachfront but no beach associated with hotel. the nearby beach would not be one recommended for children under 8-10. onsite restaurant always has a line of 30+ minutes for breakfast or lunch.

I loved the location and views, however just as others have written the hotel is older. If you are looking for full service hotel type location this is not your stop, family friendly and clean is the best value in the area!

What a delightful place. Peaceful, beautiful and just far enough removed from the mass of crowds further south. The grounds are lovely, the pools refreshing and it's on one of the prettiest beaches there. We enjoyed the grills which are spotless, and also both restaurants on the grounds. The staff is friendly and helpful. We had a burner out on our stove and a light out in our entryway when we arrived. We left a note for the maid to tell maintenance and it was fixed immediately. This is a great place for couples, families and anyone looking for a quiet place to hang after exploring the island. I highly reccomend it.

Get Away From The Large Hotel Feel

If you love the large, opulent multi-story, full service hotels with waterfall pools, poolside bars, etc., then, Napili Shores is not the place for you. It is a 100 studio two-story condo development, with oceanfront available. Understand that if you book gardenside, other guests will be freely walking past your large sliding glass doors (the units are long and narrow). You will need to draw your curtains faithfully and the units have no A/C. Not that you need it, but the privacy factor is a consideration. It is worth spending the extra money to book oceanfront.....the only noise will be from the waves crashing on the firerock which fronts the units. You will need to walk to the beach, which is not far. My "4's" are simply because the condos are over 30 years old. They have been updated, but there is just so much that can be done to bring a modern feel. If you need brand new, you might be disappointed. The grounds are beautifully maintained, including the pool.

Outrigger Napili Shores is located on a nice, sandy beach where we enjoyed watching whales and snorkeling. The service was great and the location primo! Of the 4 different locations members of our party were staying, all agreed this was the best.

The hotel room was nice enough, but it was extremely noisy due to paper thin walls and the fact that there is no air conditioning which necessitates leaving doors and windows open. Lots of screaming kids and trucks backing up to service the hotel. Families and young adults would probably not mind this. Nice kitchen and balcony. Beds were moderately comfortable. Enjoyed the mini-tub shower combo. Best part of stay was seeing all the turtles surfing the waves near shore.
