    Features
What to expect: Completely renovated in 2004, this hotel has a 16-story atrium lobby with pink-and-black granite flooring and dramatic Art Deco–style lighting. Fresh flowers and large pots of bamboo complement the modern leather and velvet furnishings. Guests include conventioneers, businesspeople, and families in search of American history at the Henry Ford Museum, wedding parties, and golfers.

Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Lovely pool area and one of the better fitness rooms. Purchased through an air/hotel package with Expedia and upgraded for very little extra money to the Regency floor which was worth it for the aftenoon and morning continental breakfast and snack buffet.

My room was very nice, quiet, and spacious--the king bed was comfortable, and everything was "in its place". The layout of the hotel makes every room somewhat private, and the hotel itself is a work of art. I was there for less than 24 hours, and the check-in and check-out was very quick. I attended an event in one of the large rooms on main floor, and it was very difficult to see the stage from the 11th row as pillars and heads blocked the view from almost every angle. The first 10 rows were fine, would have been worth the extra money for those tickets. I did walk to the mall across the parking lot (2 blocks of walking), and I found it very difficult to navigate. The signage inside was terrible, and it was difficult to get from level to level as huge wheelchair accessible ramps wound their way somewhat haphazardly through the main corridor.

My sister & teen son stayed here during a long weekend visit to relatives to be near our Mom. I liked the spacious and modern lobby, good coffee shop, excellent Italian restaurant. Friendly, helpful staff. The only disappointment is the small "splash" indoor pool. Very convenient location .

We found this hotel to be a pleasant experience. It is very handy for visiting The Henry Ford, and close enough to downtown Detroit to make the drive very short. It is also handy to the entire freeway system of the metropolitan Detroit area, so that getting around is very easy.

The hotel itself was fine but apparently I picked the wrong time to stay there. There was a kids' hockey tournament in town and the kids staying in the hotel were allowed to run rampant (i.e. playing hockey in the halls, running up and down the hallways, slamming doord, etc.) Had to call security Thanksgiving night.
