| The hotel was not in the very center of town which was a blessing, as it was in a very quiet elegant part, a ten-minute tram ride from the center, and 10-15 minute walk from the Concertgebouw Hall and the main museums. Very quiet area, but plenty of interesting restaurants to choose from. We enjoyed coming back every evening to this haven of luxury. Room and bathroom were above and beyond, lots of bathroom amenities (BIG soap bars...), cookies with the coffee making facilities, slippers, umbrella, are just some examples.Staff kind, friendly and helpful.Because we were three we were upgraded to a larger room so we would have more space. Hotel grounds and interior very attractive. Sorry to leave when our 5 days were over.

| It's slightly off the beaten path, but an excellent location in one of Amsterdam's upscale neighborhoods. Two tram lines are quite close -- a walk to the Rijksmuseum is about 20 minutes. Excellent value.

| Nice hotel away from the noise of the city center. The hotel's patio overlooks the water and is a great place to have coffee or a night cap. Tram stop is not too far (5-10 minute walk) and it is only 3-4 stops from the museum area, vondelpark, and the leidseplein (area with many restaurants/bars.) The concierge was wonderful and very helpful. I would stay here again.

| The hotel was better than we expectied. The service was friendly and very professional. We loved coming back to a beautiful, quite neighborhood after the hussle and bussel (and crowds) of the tourist areas. The tram was easy to navigate, inexpensive and just a short walk away. The lounge was lovely, right on the canal and we often had morning coffee there while deciding what to do that day. We also ended there after a busy day in the city, relaxing with an after dinner drink. We ate at the restaurant twice. It is upscale and a little pricy but both meals were very good, and the service was excellent. We would highly recommend this hotel.

| This hotel was located out of the hustle and bustle of downtown Amsterdam, but with the Apollolaan tram stop just five minutes walk away- center city was easily accessible. We enjoyed taking the tram everywhere in the city. It was extremely safe and the riders were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, and the shower was very nice and had great water pressure. There was a very nice bar and lounge on the first floor that was open late. We did not eat in the upscale looking restaurant in the hotel, preferring to sample the choices in the heart of the city. This hotel suited our needs perfectly. It was in a less noisy section of town, that was safe to walk or bike in. The front desk staff was very friendly and accomodating. There was a small business center with two computers providing internet access, for a fee. (about 4.5 Euro for 30 minutes) We would come back again. We loved Amsterdam!

| Le Meridien Apollo is a marvelously staffed hotel where the traveller's comfort is well cared for. It's a 15-20 minute walk to the marvelous tram stop but the hotel can supply a quiet respite after a long day of sightseeing,

| This hotel is located at the convergence of several canals, so the view out the canal side is very serene. It's also convenient to several tram lines. The neighborhood is quieter than central Amsterdam, but within 15 minutes you're in the heart of everything. Attractive inside, great food in the restaurant--we'd love to go back.
