| The hotel is in excellent location. You can take metro easily, right under the hotel. Taxi from Notre Dame Basilica is CA$7+. In a good day, you can walk to the old town or old port in less than 15 minutes. I got a room facing the park, not the Place du Canada building. The view was beatiful. The breakfast buffet is expensive, but offers a lot of fruit and is really nice. It's a convenient and satisfying way of starting the day. The bed is big, comfortable, and nice.

| We have stayed at the Chateau Champlain before, and booked it for a Labor Day get-away. We were happy to find new and extremely comfortable mattresses and beautiful linens, plus updated decor. Great value!

| I chose this hotel knowing we would probably become frequent visitors to Montreal if our son enrolled there for school. I wanted to see what a 4-star hotel looked like. Even my 20 year old son was impressed with the room! The place was immaculate, but that was only the beginning. The room was by far the most lovely, with details I did not anticipate (5 pillows on each bed, with a duvet comforter, curved and arched windows, and lovely room decor). I kind of freaked to see a handbill for a $40 meal in the restaurant upon our arrival, but we found many terrific and very reasonable places to eat just minutes away. The concierges were terrifically helpful, and much appreciated. I am certainly excited anticipating a return there with my hubby next time.

| Mariott Champlain is a nice hotel. On the edge of the financial district adjacent to a pretty park and several historic churches, it provides direct elevator access to the Metro and lies two blocks south of the Gray Line Tour Hub. Three blocks (uphill) to St. Catherine Street. The immediate area is dead at night and so you will walk or cab to get something to eat. Great views. Very clean room with free wireless broadband. Luxurious dressing area between bath and main room. The rooms are adequate in size if a bit smallish but they are maintained well. The smoking floors do have a bad smell. Full concierge service. Overall, "nice".

| I often stay at the Chateau Champlain when I travel to Montreal. The rooms are clean and pretty and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The hotel is a good walk from Old Montreal and close to the restaurants & bars on Crescent Street.
