| We enjoyed our stay at the Marriott Courtyard. Plenty to do. The area it is located in, needs some sprucing up, but I would stay there again.

| Stayed here for one week. The hotel is clean and the staff was very friendly. However the pool was very small and there was no real air condition. But it is in a good location and close to everything in the Marina.

| Hotel was in a good location, right off of Rt. 1. Just a few minutes from Santa Monica Beach and Vencie Beach, with shopping center across the street. We didn't spend much time at the hotel, but service was good. Would recommend to others.

| Hotel is conveniently located in Marina del Rey which is very well connected by the freeways, about 10 min. from the airport and close to Venice Beach. Price is high but for LA standards, I suppose it's what you would normally pay for hotel of this category. Hotel is clean, rooms are well kept and staff is very friendly.

| The hotel has a nice lobby, and we were greeted by two very friendly, helpful people behind the desk. This nice first impression was sustained by a clean, spacious room. We had to jiggle the toilet handle once; otherwise everything worked well. We stayed two nights, and the room was straightened up for the second night almost as spotlessly as for the first. I met the housekeeping lady on the way to check out, and she was as friendly and polite as the desk attendants. We liked the place. Don't expect a beach hotel, though! It's two miles to Venice Beach from the parking lot.

| Loved staying here. The highlight is the staff. Homemade cookies in the afternoon and the staff could not have been more pleasant. The only dowside is that our room faced the parking lot. Other than that, we loved the pool and the hotel and will stay here again. There is a Starbucks across the street as well as a few nice shops and a good seafood restaraunt. We didn't feel like we needed to drive at nice, which was nice.

| An excellent value on Expedia. The room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. Nothing fancy, but more than gets the job done and was pleasantly impressed. Internet access is free but caused excrutiating frustration sending email attachments, requiring me to try another room and then Kinko's after both failed. The customer service was no help either. However, this isn't Marriott's fault and web surfing was easy. A short drive from the beach as well, though the immediate surroundings are nothing much to speak of.

| I can't say enough positive things about the staff at this hotel--they're simply the nicest, most thoughtful folks I've ever encountered in all my years of business travel. We shipped several boxes to the hotel ahead of time for a trade show; not only did they happily store the boxes for us, they refused to let us lift a finger when loading them into our car. When I asked to borrow a corkscrew from the bartender, she told me not to bother bringing it back down and offered extra wine glasses. The front desk happily printed my boarding pass for me. The housekeeping staff is superb. The guest rooms are updated, very clean, comfortable, and plenty spacious, with most having small balconies. The marina area is a great location and for the price, you really cannot beat this property. I'll stay at the MDR Courtyard next time I visit LA, without a doubt.
