| This hotel was adequate for sleeping but had no pretensions of being a place to spend any time. The carpets were in poor condition, and there was only an overhead ceiling fan (i.e., no air conditioning). It was extremely hot and humid at the time of year we traveled (late August/early September).

| You can't beat the price. Good Local style hotel, nice friendly people, rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. I would definitely stay there next time.

| Long overdue for renovations. No AC. Old looking and runned down. The owner Uncle Billy is living in the 60's . Upgrade Now. The Land alone is worth 10's of millions of dollars. Moldy looking room.

| The hotel is right in the middle of it all. You can walk to beaches or restaurants and there are ABC stores galore for anything you forgot to bring. The hotel is truly in need of updates and remodeling, but the room was clean the bed was comfortable and the airconditioning was freezing cold. It did smell a bit musky and the shower was weak, but hey.....Your in HAWAII! Who stays in their room anyway. It's a great discount hotel if you are on a budget.

| If you're in Hawaii to take in the sights, this is a great home base. Nothing fancy and past its prime, but clean and well kept. The fridge helped me save some money on food, and the open balcony (every room has one, with sliding doors) made for pleasant sleeping once the main strip quieted down.

| We needed a clean simple room, and we were satisfied. If you're looking for luxury, this isn't it. You can walk to almost anything in Kona. You have to pay for parking, but apparently every hotel in Kona follows this practice. The staff is very nice, and allowed us to check out 2 hours late since we had a late flight. The breakfast buffet is the best value in the area, but their coffee is lousy by Hawaii standards.
