I stayed for one night at the Imperial Palace. I had never stayed there before, and I was a little nervous, having read some of the reviews. However, I felt it was worth the risk considering the price and the location on the strip. The only negative I had was that I arrived there a little after noon to check in, and they told me I had to come back at 3 because my room wasn't ready. That wasn't a big deal, because obviously there is plenty to do. When I did get to my room, I was pleasantly surprised. Non-smoking, cool (working a.c.), and very clean. Clean towels, sheets, bathroom, everything. Obviously, the I.P. is not the best or the nicest hotel/casino on the strip, but for the value, I could not be happier with my selection. Also, the I.P. casino is a decent place to hang out.

The main elevators were very slow. We got to our room and had problems with the toilet. Had to move to a different room. In the next room found dirty sheets on the bed. Very noisy hotel, could hear conversations clearly in the hallway and also traffic from the parking garage. Only thing going for the hotel is its location.

I was pleased with everything except the elevators. We made reservations there because of the event we were attending was being held there. There rooms were clean and tastefully decorated. The meals were great, try the omlets at the breakfast buffet they were made with real eggs and were light fluffy.

Elevators were slow and crowded. Water taste was bad/undrinkable, get bottled water. They charge a $1 per day per room extra for phones whether you use it or not.

I have stayed at the IP a half dozen times before. I had a deluxe room. Light bulbs were out and there were minor plumbing problems. The elevators are still slow. I may go somewhere else my next time in Vegas. Location is the best thing the IP has going but this is not as big a factor with the monorail in service Reno looks better all the time.

If you plan on enjoying your stay in Vegas this is definitely not the hotel to do it at. There was a strange smell upon entering the room it was filthy and crawling with bed bugs. After relocating to another hotel our vacation finally started. Please dont make the same mistake we did.

We were apprehensive about this hotel upon reading the reviews, especially since this was our first trip to Vegas. I'd definitely say we were pleasantly suprised. Location in the middle of the strip makes for a "do-able" walk to either end, although I would strongly recommend taking the bus ($5 per 24 hr. pass). Room was larger than expected and suitably clean and confortable. Buffet was a bit bland for the price but was convenient. Staff was very helpful. Don't miss seing the "Legends" show. The only real dissappointment was the elevator service. Going up was usually timely. Taking the stairs up was not an option (one way doors prevent you from entering any floor). Going down was another matter. 10 minute wait was typical.
