Pier 5 Hotel Amenities
Guests enjoy complimentary Internet access from a variety of attractive public spaces, from a plum-velvet sofa in the atrium lobby to one of the banquettes in the Peacock Café overlooking the harbor. Exercise buffs walk a block north to use Gold’s Gym for a discounted fee. Those who want to explore the city can ride the hotel’s complimentary shuttle that makes scheduled stops. Guests also gather in the lobby on Saturday afternoon for the Bananas Foster demonstration. This hotel also is entirely nonsmoking.

Recreation
For a discounted fee, Pier 5 guests can exercise in Gold’s Gym, a block away. Equipment includes treadmills, exercise bikes, cross trainers, and rowing machines. Instructors teach aerobics, kick boxing, step, and yoga. Other options include co-ed sauna and steam rooms, and massage.

Runners enjoy the water views along the Inner Harbor just outside the hotel. Harborplace is the spot to board water taxis and tour boats that cruise the waterfront. For shorter excursions, paddle boats shaped like dragons are available for rent.

The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.

Features
What to expect: This three-story, contemporary hotel attracts well-heeled couples and families, especially from spring to early fall, as well as conventioneers and even a celebrity or two, such as actors Robin Williams and Neve Campbell. The atrium lobby with its plum-velvet sofa is a favorite hangout on Saturday afternoons, when guests gather to watch—and partake in—the weekly Bananas Foster demonstration.

Amenity highlights: Pier 5’s restaurants have made a big impression in the city since the hotel opened in 1997. Local hip types sip cosmos and nosh on sushi in EurAsian Harbor’s minimalist gray lounge. People on expense accounts do business over hefty portions of seafood at McCormick & Schmick’s. Guests interested in some of Baltimore’s quirkier dining spots can take the hotel’s complimentary shuttle to Fells Point, one of the liveliest parts of town.

Insider tip: The Roger B. Taney, the last surviving vessel from the bombing of Pearl Harbor, is docked one block from the hotel. The vessel, built in 1936, is part of the Baltimore Maritime Museum.

Peacock Cafe - Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktails are served in this bright restaurant specializing in traditional fare. In good weather, guests sit at tables on the deck overlooking the National Aquarium.

EurAsian Harbor - Open only for dinner, this chic restaurant is known for its great sushi. In the adjacent lounge, locals frequent the black granite bar.

McCormick & Schmick’s - The national restaurant chain known for its hefty portions has designated the Pier 5 as its Baltimore outpost. Lunch and dinner are served in the split-level, wood-trimmed dining rooms lit by stained glass lamps.

This hotel was beautiful. I went for my anniversary and had a great night. The staff was unbelievably friendly. The bed was the most comfortable thing that i have ever slept in.Very peaceful and romantic place, did not want to leave. Room service was expensive but nice not having to leave the room for breakfast. If it was cheaper I would of stayed another day.

The hotel room was large but lacked both a desk for business travelers and drawer space or luggage table/rack. The staff was very pleasant and helpful from check in to check out. The location is great within walking distance of many restaurants/shops/tourist attractions.
