Features
What to expect: In a community of numerous condominium resorts, budget-minded families, independent travelers, and business travelers appreciate Kihei Town's only full-service hotel. Advantages include moderate prices, a central location, and resort facilities and services such as a restaurant, a poolside bar/café, a pool/sunning complex, and an activities desk for booking tours, excursions, luaus, golf, and all other attractions throughout the island of Maui. Amenity highlights: Smart shops and restaurants, various beaches, and a complimentary shuttle service throughout Kihei Town and 2.5 miles south to the exclusive resort community of Wailea and its championship golf courses permit guests to experience a complete Sun Coast vacation without the expense of a rental car. Insider tip: Although the Maui Coast Hotel is across the street from a public park with a nice beach, a half-mile south is a better beach—a long, uncrowded stretch of sand called Keawakapu Beach that begins in front of the Mana Kai Resort. Next to the Mana Kai is a public parking lot. Signs point the way to the beach, which offers great snorkeling along its rocky northern terminus, terrific boogie boarding when the tradewinds blow, and long tropical-fantasy walks. Buildings along the beach seldom exceed palm-tree height, somewhat preserving the illusion that the beachfront is undeveloped.
Spices Grill & Bar - Overlooking Kihei Town's main street with an open-air terrace providing views of the ocean on the other side of the street, Spices offers a breakfast/lunch menu until mid-afternoon that expands to include local fish, steaks, and pastas at dinner. Takeout picnic fare, room service from the menus, and fruit baskets are also available. Tradewinds Poolside Café - Aptly named, this poolside spot serves light foods, mixes tropical drinks, and provides Hawaiian entertainment every evening.

| Good accomodations and service from the front desk to the cleaning crew. It has a small swimming pool, laundry room, clean rooms and a parking with lots of light. It has an activity desk and a rental car desk to get information and booking of activities and car rentals.

| If you're going to Hawaii and want a big resort type experience, don't stay here. However, if you want to stay at a central location at a comfortable hotel, then Maui Coast is a great place to stay. When my family goes, we like to immerse ourselves in a more local setting. The Maui Coast is great because it's right across the street from a good beach-Kamaole. We went to resort beaches in Kaanapali and Wailea and found that our beach was bigger. The rooms are large and comfortable and whenever we returned to the room, even if in the early afternoon, housekeeping had already been there. Their poolside restaurant was nice at night and hosted singers which was fun. Kihei is a good location to be in as there's easy access to every part of the island-we went up to Kaanapali, Lahaina, then down to Wailea and across the island to Kahului and up to Haleakala. There are several local places to eat within easy walking distance. Overall we had a good experience at this hotel and would stay here again.

| I'm from Brazil so please excuse any English mistake on this letter. That was our first trip to Maui and we just love the hotel. The first impression that you have when you arrive is the gigantic lobby, well decoreded and with a stone floors and very big doors. The people at the hotel was very cordeous, polite and well prepared. The room was extremely clean and the non-smoking police of the hotel is a real plus. The pool bar is very nice to after the day activites, take some beers and listem to the live music. At nice the place is very quiet ... very good for a nice rest of the daily activites.

| Not only did the hotel let us register early but also up grade us to a suite, and then let us have the room the following day for an extra hour no charge. The hotel was very clean and great customer service. If you are looking for ocean front don't look here. Only a few rooms over look the ocean. But if you are willing to walk a block you are on the beautiful sandy beachs of Hawaii. For the overall price you can't go wrong in this area. They also have a free shuttle to local shopping areas, just tip the driver good and he will accomidate your needs.

| I stayed at the Maui Coast for a brief stop-over on Maui and was very happy with every aspect of the hotel except for poor wifi reception. I will try to stay here the next time I'm on Maui.

| What a beautiful lobby and spacious room. We really enjoyed having this hotel to come back to at the end of our day. It was relaxing to sit by the pool, which has a perfect temperature, and lounge in the two hot tubs. The pool chairs are wonderful too, so comfy. Loved the hotel, great service, friendly staff, good location. We'd definitely stay here again. The free laundry was great too, it was so nice to wash our hiking clothes.
