Features
What to expect: Guests step back in time into a lobby that is a marvel of tromp l'oeil: columns painstakingly hand-painted to mimic marble, walls a mix of faux stucco and brick, and the ceiling resembling a Renaissance blue sky, with angels darting among the air vents. The hotel is popular with business and vacationers, as well as conventioneers.

Amenity highlights: The swimming pool, located in a central courtyard, is surrounded by tables, chairs, and potted palms. Although the hotel restaurant serves only breakfast, it's a full New Orleans-style buffet.

Insider tip: Guests couldn't be closer to the sights and sounds of the French Quarter—Jackson Square is 1 block away, Cafe du Monde and its famous beignets 2 blocks away, and the Mississippi River is 4 blocks away.

Cafe Rue Orleans - A formal room is the setting for daily breakfast: American-style food with some New Orleans favorites, and a buffet.

The staff is incredibly nice and accomodating. Beautiful swimming pool. Very conveniently located in the French Quarter near Jackson Square. Restaurant service is limited, but when I called for a burger (15 minutes before the close of room service), it was there in moments and fantastic. Ask for a room that is not facing Bourbon St to minimize noise--overlooking the courtyard/pool it was perfectly quiet.

I booked this hotel online and was not disappointed. This hotel is so close to everything you would want to see & do in the French Quarter. Our room was quiet at night even though the hotel is close to Bourbon Street. Clean inside, although the elevator wasn't working one afternoon and we had to climb the stairs to the top floor which wasn't fun. Staff were extremely apologetic and it was fixed by morning. Pool area is nice. I would stay at this hotel again.

After all that New Orleans has been through, we were amazed at the beauty of this hotel! We were accomodated to the fullest with our request of a balcony room...top floor right on the corner over looking Bourbon and Orleans Streets. Fabulous in every way!

I stayed there for a three day weekend. This was my first trip to New Orleans. The hotel is located on Bourbon Street and, from what I observed, is the best located hotel in the area. It is right on the end of the major activities on Borbon Street, so all you do is walk out of your hotel, take a left, and you are in the thick of things. It is also almost directly in front of Jackson Square, which is an impressive historical area, as well as another center of activity. The rooms and beds were very nice, and the bathrooms were larger than usual. Overall, I would highly recommend it, and definitely plan on staying there on my next visit to New Orleans.

The hotel was very nice and met all expectations with the exception of the air conditioning. In a city like New Orleans, one needs the ability to easily cool off a room. The nights were uncomfortably hot. Otherwise, the hotel was very nice with a great pool and very nice rooms.

1/2 block from Bourbon St, 1/2 block (the other direction) from St. Louis Cathedral/ Jackson Square. wonderful location and reasonably priced. Nice pool/ patio area. Ask for a room that is NOT above the bar or facing Bourbon St. if you want to sleep.

Lovely, elegant hotel in the heart of the French Quarter, just a block from Bourbon Street but removed from the noise and rowdiness. St. Louis Cathedral 1 block down in the other direction, with Jackson Square just beyond. Hotel was clean and tastefully decorated. Staff very helpful and courteous. Very pretty, clean, peaceful courtyard with pool. Would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed the hotel and can't wait to stay there again. When we arrived, we discovered our reservation had not been made by Expedia, luckly I had my confirmation number. The hotel called Expedia and it was cleared up within a matter of minutes. The hotel was much nicer than I expected it to be and very close to local attractions (walking distance). We vallet parked our car and did not use it again until it was time to go home.
