The hotel is close to everything. It was an easy walk to Michigan Ave., the restaurants on Rush St., Navy Pier, and the "El" station. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room had a comfortable love seat with coffee table, which I don't normally expect in a hotel room.

The hotel was located in a very city center area - close to many "hot spots". Easy to walk to restaurants, shopping and entertainment.

My mom and I went to stay at the Courtyard Marriot for a fun weekend of shopping and relaxation. We had immediate service at the front desk that was very informative and friendly. We had an air conditioner problem in our room that took at day to fix because no one came up to fix it. When we met Robert the technical engineer he called the front desk immediately took care of the problem and got us free comps for breakfast each day of our stay and some free movies. We felt very well taken care of and they were doing everything in their power to make our stay satisfying. I would return in a minute for the great way we were treated when a problem arose. The location is so close to many sites.

The cover of the coffe glass mug was broken and did not allow the coffee to drip down. I had to hold the mug up. Hotel management needs to better train their cleaning staff.

The hotel was clean, and centrally located. It was easy to get too and we could walk to any of the destinations we wanted to see. It was close to the theater, also.

My husband and I were expecting an average hotel, since this one was less costly than many other locations...however, the stay there was excellent. The staff was fun and helpful, the rooms are comfortable, and the hotel's locaton was ideal. We had one small shopping bag in the room that was accidentally taken out with the trash...the hotel went above and beyond to make sure we were accomadated that same day. Another plus is Shaw's Crab House, the restaurant just across the street...it's so good!!

The new beds coupled with the ambiance of the room made for an awesome stay! The big television didn't hurt either! The internet connection was very easy to get and I was able maintain a VPN connection to my office with no problems.

Date of stay: September 2005. This hotel is centrally located for visitors intending to spend time in the Loop area south of the Chicago River, as well as in the River North/North Michigan Avenue area. It is within walking distance to the Blue Line (transportation to and from O'Hare), as well as to other public transportation depot sites. The rooms are clean and practical. My only complaint is that it can be noisy, depending on who your neighbors are. I was unlucky to spend part of my stay with rowdy college-age neighbors who kept knocking on my door all night, along with the usual boisterous laughter, yelling and screaming typical of this age group when inebriated. This disturbance, however, was not the hotel's fault.
