Hyatt Regency Vancouver Amenities
Guests staying at the 34-story Hyatt in downtown Vancouver can splash away in the outdoor swimming pool or work out kinks in the fitness center, which is equipped with treadmills, stair-climbing machines, Lifecycles, and a Universal gym. The business center, located off the hotel lobby, provides self-serve computers, private office space, and two boardrooms as well as secretarial services upon request. A major renovation completed in 2002 updated the lobby, meeting rooms, and all public spaces and added more conference space for a total of 45,000 square feet on four floors. Cell-phone rentals, currency exchange, and translation services can all be arranged. Turndown service and complimentary newspapers are available upon request at check-in. Stanley Park is less than a mile away from the centrally located hotel, office buildings are nearby, and theaters, shops, and galleries are all within a few blocks of the Hyatt’s front door.

Recreation
In addition to its own fitness center and heated outdoor pool, the hotel offers easy access to nearby paths and trails. The Hyatt is just 5 blocks from one end of a 12-mile-long seaside pathway that’s suitable for walking, cycling, and in-line skating. Stanley Park, a 1,000-acre green space, is only 0.75 miles away; the park offers tennis courts and mountain-bike trails as well as pools, a beach, a zoo, and a pitch-and-putt golf course. In addition, skiers can hit the slopes at Grouse Mountain, which is approximately 15 minutes north of downtown Vancouver by car. In summer, the slopes offer trails of varying levels for walks and hikes. The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.

Features
What to expect: Modern architectural lines complement high standards of service at this 28-year-old hotel, which reopened in 2002 after extensive renovations. Guests now enter the hotel via a spacious atrium-lobby featuring cherry-wood walls and custom-made floor tiles. The Hyatt caters to business travelers seeking proximity to downtown office buildings, and vacationers who want a central location close to shops, theaters, galleries, and other attractions. Amenity highlights: Guests may use the computer-equipped business center, relax around the outdoor pool, or work out in the fitness center on treadmills, stair-climbers, and other fitness machines. An array of meeting space is available. Computer and cell-phone rentals, childcare, translation services, and currency exchange are all offered as well. Insider tip: Take the $2 tour. A SkyTrain station next to the hotel allows access to Vancouver’s light-rail rapid transit system. For as little as $4—$2 on evenings and weekends—travelers can climb aboard modern rail cars and enjoy a 39-minute ride along 17 miles of elevated track to the bedroom community of Surrey at the end of the line. Tickets are good for 90 minutes and can be used in either direction.
Mosaic Bar and Grille - Streamlined furnishings, picture windows, and lots of natural light complement Mosaic’s eclectic menu, a fusion of international cooking styles. A fresh-fish bar features delicacies such as lobster, scallops, seviche, and sea bass; and a lounge overlooks the bustling lobby. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served daily. Gallery Lounge - English pub meets North American sports bar in this intimate lounge, which soft lighting and comfortable seating have made a favorite with the local after-office crowd. Latte Café and Bistro - Specialty coffees, open-face sandwiches, and fresh pastries are all available at this European-style bistro in the hotel lobby.

| This hotel does have a great location for downtown Vancouver. However that is all that is great about it. Everything else is so very average. For the price they charge for a room I expect more, however all you get is the same old hotel and room experience that you can get at any number of hotels of a much lower price. There is nothing special about this hotel at all. If you are looking for luxury look elsewhere. Technically there is nothing "wrong", but there is nothing that would make you want to return either. Avoid the restaurant, the food is over priced and to be honest very bland. You can do much better in downtown Vancouver. A shame really.

| Had a great time on our trip. Hotel made it very nice- great room, very clean. No complaints at all. They were doing renovations and let us know that water would be turned off while sleeping. Caused no problems. We would love to go back.

| Room accomodation was excellent. Location was prime: walking distance to Robson Street, Chinatown, Gastown, and a Trolley stop at the hotel. Staff was very hospitable and helpful in their recommendations.

| Hotel was nice and in a great location. Close to business and near Robson St. with great shopping within walking distance. Quick check in and out. Only negative was that the bed was a bit lumpy - but the view was great and the room was clean and well furnished. Not a bad value for the price!

| While visiting friends in Vancouver, we booked this hotel. The lobby and elevators are nice but the rooms are a bit dated, or at least our room was. My biggest surprise was that the parking lot, located beneath the hotel, was not the hotel's. We were offered a flat "in and out" rate, or to pay "as we used it", which ended up cheaper. The parking garage is well organized with automated machines that take credit card and cash payments, but honestly it was the first time I had come across this arrangement.
