| Overall, I was quite satisfied with the Hotel. I was initially very impressed with the Shower, Great Water Pressure, nice tile bath, very good toiletries. The location was perfect for the theatre, well, everything. The Korean restaurant with the 24 hour sign next door is to die for, they give you like 5 appetizers included for the price of the entree. Sure, Life is not perfect, but checking out a female desk clerk said I had a $30 bill. To make a long story short, I used the mini-bar as a refrigerator, but I did not eat/drink anything. She actually tried to charge me the $30 and said sharply to me "It's a Mini-Bar, not a refrigerator". I said 'Wait' You want to charge me $30 for using the Mini-Bar as a Refrigerator? Even the Argentine Shuttle bus driver was agast.

| When I first walked into the hotel, I was a bit nervous because the lobby was very nice and so were the elevators...usually that means the rooms are not so good. But I was wrong, the room was a bit small, as all NYC rooms are, but it was very clean, had a small refrigerator, and the pressure in the shower was amazing. . .better than my home. The rooftop terrace was great, with a terrific view of Empire State Building. The continental breakfast was also very convenient. Can't beat the price. . .will definitely stay again at Hotel Metro!

| The hotel has a great location and was good value for the money. I would highly recommend it for families since it includes continental breakfast. My only qualm was that I had called the hotel the day before my arrival to request an early check in. Upon arrival, they had no rooms available. We left and came back. Our room on the 2nd floor was not impressive, no view (concrete only), very basic (old fashioned). The walls are thin and you can hear everything! If you are trying to save money.. it is the hotel for you.

| The hotel is a good choice in Midtown, near Macy's the Empire State Building and Times Square and worth what you pay in relation to NY prices. The staff is nice and friendly, the rooms are good (not too big, but good for N.Y), and the location is perfect for tourists. The roof terrace is a perfect place to chill out. The lifts were somehow slow in August 2006, and the air condition is quite noisy (earplugs help), otherwise it was good choice.

| Actually I just checked into my room half an hour ago. The front desk lady was very curt and sometimes seemed a bit rude. The 3rd-story room I'm staying in is directly facing the center dumpster area. There is not much natural light in the room either. One of the worst hotels I have stayed in.
