| There were obvious attempts to modernize, but the toilet fixtures were like those at a gas station. Also it is in a very crowded area building-wise, so you must either valet or self-park in a garage across the street. The garage appears to be abandoned except for the hotel's use, so there is no fee to self-park, but the garage and the tunnell connecting it to the hotel are a bit scary after dark and the escalators were not turned on the entire time I was there. I would not have felt comfortable with my wife parking there at all. On the upside, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and they had a cool picture of Bob Hope staying in the hotel, which was displayed prominently in the lobby. Unfortunately it was an extremely young Bob Hope, which tells the story of the hotel better than I can.

| Located in a surprisingly attractive and serene part of Houston, and across the street from the Museum of Fine Arts. The rooms are smallish, but nicely furnished. If you are interested in flat screen TV's and Wi-Fi connections, this is not the hotel for you. However, if you're looking for a charming, serene hotel in the heart of the city, give The Warwick a try.

| This hotel wasn't perfect but we're glad we stayed here on a weekend trip to visit Houston museums. It's right next to the Fine Arts and Science Museums and a few blocks from the Menil. It's a little frayed but a kind of cool older hotel, certainly comfortable though not luxurious. The staff was cordial, though service in the restaurant was sloooooow.
