Features
What to expect: An oasis of tranquility in the city center, everything about this hotel's garden-style luxury is light, airy, and peppered with the extra touches and attentive staff that only a full-service hotel can offer. This is the place for surprising mom or escaping for a romantic weekend retreat.

Amenity highlights: A popular backdrop for weddings, the inviting garden courtyard offers a lovely setting for dinner or just reading by the fountain. While it's not evident from the elegant, music-filled lobby, one of Washington's largest health clubs is located in the here, providing 17,000 square feet of exercise and health amenities including a lap pool, squash and racquetball courts, tanning booths, and full exercise and weight rooms in addition to massage, sauna, and steam rooms. There's even a café for health-conscious guests.

Snuggle into a plush bathrobe as you relax in a guestroom offering an ambience of classic furnishings and muted tones, in addition to thoughtful elements such as a CD player/alarm clock and even the essential (but often overlooked) bathroom scale. The complimentary shoe shine and lighted makeup mirror also allow you to put your best foot forward.

Insider tip: You'll find nearly 100 upscale stores (everything from Ralph Lauren to Urban Outfitters) just three blocks away from the Fairmont on Georgetown's M Street. And this West End location ensures that it's safe to go for an evening stroll.

The Bistro - This charming, informal bistro offers contemporary American cuisine in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. When the weather permits, guests are welcome to dine alfresco in the Fairmont's beautiful garden courtyard.

The Colonnade - Rated one of Washington's best brunches by Washingtonian magazine, travelers and locals alike delight in the incredible buffet of sumptuous cuisine and free-flowing champagne.

Great hotel. The only think you should know - there is a fee for each time you want to use the gym. Quite expensive, especially if your kids want to use the pool. There is a way to get around this - ask the front desk staff.

It takes more than fluffy bath robes and fancy buffets to qualify as four star...and the Fairmont has lots more. From reception and maitre d' to wait staff and chamber maids, the staff was exceptionally welcoming. It set such an upbeat tone for our first stay in D.C. and ensured this won't be our last.

Helpful staff. Excellent location. Had a great time...Decor is slightly old fashioned in rooms but lobby is bright and airy. Excellent service and good products for use in the rooms.

This hotel is lovely and inviting, and the service is ever-present but not intrusive. We had stayed there on previous occasions and the room we had on this trip was not as luxurious as some we've had in the past. However, the room was impeccably clean and large enough for our needs. The location is within walking distance to both Dupont Circle and Foggy Bottom. The closest Metro stop is at Foggy Bottom. One of the best fitness clubs in the D.C. area is in the basement of the hotel.

Great Hotel, very beautiful. Front desk & conceirge were very helpful and nice. But the valet was not very attentive. The bed was very very comfortable and the room was very clean. The hotel is located next to Georgetown, and within walking distance to the shopping district and restaurants. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay at the Fairmont.
